I don't think it was lack of fight or spirit, we just wasn't good enough and that's being generous.

Any other team in the top 4 divisions would of managed an attempt on target.

That incident on the Mirror website was the one by me

I could see it, luckily it wasn't too close,  the guy was trying to get back up the stairs. Whenever I've been to Wembley I've always seen similar incidents

I'm really not sure how arsenal didn't win the league .

Because they don't have a centre forward.

And don't play a team as pathetic as ours every week.

I thought it was an utter lack of fight or spirit. No corners? Barely one attempt at goal? It was a shameful, embarrassing and pathetic effort

Ashamed to admit I left on 80 minutes. For me it was worse than the 2000 final.
I just want the Lerner era over and some new money and new ideas and some real ambition at the club. These last 5 years has knocked the stuffing out of me.

I always find Arsenal get complacent in certain games.
I do feel a little sorry for Giroud though. He's actually get a decent goal return. I think the big mistake Wenger made was signing Welbeck instead of someone a bit more clinical, who could rotate with Giroud. But then again when you've got Sanchez providing goals too, that helps.

To be fair the rise of Coquelin came in the second half of the season too. So who knows. As far as league winners go I would find Arsenal winning it more bearable than Chelsea, City or Utd.

2-3 good signings and they'll cope, but they've got to keep their foot on the gas all season. Sometimes they fanny around too much when they should kill a team off. (Sadly they slaughtered us yesterday).

Disappointing that we didn't perform. Nasty atmosphere in 551 where two fans offering each other a fight and a nice bit of casual racism to boot.

What a big shame that the players will regret that final.

I've now seen my team in an FA Cup final, I witnessed much graciousness from many Villa fans in heavy defeat and remonstration  with those who couldn't handle it.The manager knows now what a big clear out he has to undertake and must have the remit to do so.I believe he has the guts and reason to do so. But best of all the whole charade of 14/15 is over and I can forget about football for a couple of months. Sad Villa fan this morning but that will fade . U TV

That sums me up too!

Great thing about football I guess. We'll play someone like Palace first game of next season, beat them 2-0 and then we'll all be talking about finishing top 10!

Currently travelling back home with mixed views about yesterday. So much expectation beforehand only to see us lose poorly. My overriding thought is how 'sluggish' the team looked. Don't get me wrong Arsenal and their ungracious fans fully deserved their victory but I can't help but think Tim's team selection didn't help us. Bacuna for me should have started if only to offer a bit of pace.
To come away from a final without having a single significant shot on target is what I'll remember the most from the game. That and fellow fans fighting each other. A bloody awful day all round.
My thoughts are with the many fellow Villans who traveled long overseas distances to witness 'that'.
I'm going to try and forget football for a couple of months.

It's no easier to swallow the morning after is it?

I'm in the 'I never want to watch football again' phase.

It's a shame we've had 5 such hideously awful years, and bookended by two pathetic cup finals. I hope this latest abomination of an "attempt" to win silverware firmly closes the Lerner era, and is the start of a new tenure. We need fresh impetus and significant investment.

Don't be ashamed - I left on 80 mins too mate - I couldn't watch any more of that .
Ditto to the rest of your post too.
One other point - it seemed like a different crowd yesterday to the semi final - lots of folk you didn't recognise - and the later kick off time meant more drink was taken. Not good.

How I feel.  I just feel like, if they didn't give a toss then why should I.  sick of watching this utter shit.
