I said the other day I wasn't bothered if vlaar stayed. Even more so now I hope he goes, he was slow and fucking useless. Sherwood can't be blamed for the defensive calamity but Given is finished. Get rid of most of the defence, we stated with a high line, why the fuck did we stick with it. Only positive is that we're safe. Please please don't do that shit in the final x

I don't get it: how can one of the form teams of the PL lose so badly to a team that's lost recently to Leicester, Sunderland and even the baggies not so long ago?
Because it's a funny old game

Wonder if fans who paid to go today will get a refund ?

Why would they?
Because it's been done before and I think the players should cough up today. It would be a nice gesture for all the brilliant support all season.

The whole performance was crap, midfield gave it away non stop. Defence was useless and even the sub's were hopeless when they came on

What about all the other times people have paid to see us play badly in the last few years?

I want my money back for Leicester away, October 1984, with inflation taken into account.

If they gave me back the money for all the really shit Villa performances i've paid to see, with inflation and interest i'd be the new owner of Aston Villa!

This is where the Villa team stayed last night: http://www.grandharbourhotel.co.uk; I was in the Holiday Inn opposite. Talking to a Southampton fan post office worker in the hotel car park this morning he jokingly said he'd just been to the Grand Harbour and poisoned the players' breakfast. After the performance I'm beginning to wonder if he was joking!

Used to be a De Vere, not sure if still is. Stayed there a fair few times. Nice hotel.

Correct, but it's now independently owned, with a major refurb last year. Looked much better than the Holiday Inn!!

You should have used the premier inn Southampton City centre, it's just had a full refurb.

Defending like we did today I'm worried Chelsea might pull us part in the Community Shield.

Football's a roller-coaster ride like life. Lows are followed by highs, then by lows again. Just see it as fun.
