My eyes have seen the glory of the Villa win the cup,
Seven times we've won it,
Now the cup is coming back,
We are the boys in claret and blue,
We are the chosen few,
And the Villa go marching on on on

I know it doesn't quite rhyme,  but I think it works quite well, and would be good for us to belt out before the final. I'll try it out in the mini bus on the way down.

At the  Cup Final in 2000 the words to Abide With Me were printed on the back of whatever it was we had to hold up (can't remember what it was) . I cried so much I couldn't see the sheet.

As it is 200 years on from the Battle of Waterloo then in view of the French connection with the opposition Abba's "Waterloo" could be appropriate. Not that I can stand their music!  :D
