Not having seen the match, can I ask a serious question regarding the referee? Were the questionable decisions the same for both sides?
No
I used to referee school games and when our lot were being heavily beaten I used to save them getting too demoralized so know how a ref can favour one side - it was like that today.
The ref was shit. I can't decide who I want to marry more, Delph, Benteke or Sherwood. So much manlove for them all!
Playing some fantastic football under Sherwood and at times we're a joy to watch.
Score line flattered Everton today and the less said about that bloody Ref the better.
Will be good to see Gardner get some game time in the run in after returning from Forest now their season has finished!

Well I want to adopt Grealish.
As I mentioned on another thread I'm always baffled when Murphy is accused of hating Villa or supposedly being happy when we lose, that's a massive load of bollocks. Over the years I've heard him say many complimentary things about Villa, I think people only hear what they want to hear sometimes.
I agree Chris, I think he simply tells it as it is. With humour too.
I thought we should have sewn the match up earlier - when we are winning we tend not to finish teams off when we are in really good 4v3 type situations, and instead play e ball around amongst ourselves for a while. I would pin Mr Wolf's comment in their ears : "it's a little too soon to sit around sucking each other's dicks."
Defensively we are still suspect and even defending in numbers doesn't guarantee us security. Needs working on in the summer.
I thought Clattenberg let too much go today. He is generally my favourite referee in the league but Everton seemed to have a rota for fouls and he did not deter them. No comment on the penalty or Thier second goal as they were at the opposite end to me.
Good performance today despite the ref watched it in a bar in lanzarote lager a pound a pint could get used to this only downside back home tomorrow
Excellent result, its nice to be back beating teams we always used to but struggled frequently against under Lambert, namely Spurs and Everton. Would have been a perfect day had it not been for the Sunderland result, they the only ones I think can possibly catch us but then Newcastle look totally vulnerable right now.
I can't remember a season where the last few teams are winning so many.
I was talking about this just now, if you look at the bottom teams, they're all picking up points and most of them are showing a bit of spirit.
The glaring exception is Newcastle, who have lost eight in a row, look truly pathetic, and have such discord in-house that their manager has today accused one of their players of getting sent off deliberately.
If you need any extra cheer after today, go and have a look at a Newcastle forum. I think it's safe to to say that they're not best pleased and I wouldn't want to be on duty in "the Toon" tonight!
My thoughts are with the Police horses who will be engaged in battle tonight with bare fisted fat topless men.
Just back from the stadium, ears ringing, heart thumping, head spinning. Some of our football today was exceptional.
The referee had a Weston Super. Shocking.
My MOTM is cleverly, simply superb, as was Delph, Benteke , Grealish and equally westwood in for Sanchez added the solid foundation to beat a decent side.
Keep playing like this I think we can win our next 4 games.
Are Everton the new Stoke? Awful side, how the smeg did they go on that run? All snide challenges and fouls. As for their 'support' how can so many make so little noise. Zero support for therm when they were behind apart from when they scored, and hardly any of them left to see their second. Utter wankpots, on and off the pitch.
Anyone know if there is a Game of the Day on Sky tonight?
Yes. It's us! Just got back to Manchester. Was going to go out.
Sod that, I'm going to stay In, get a curry and watch that magnificent performance again!
Well done lads. Massive Man love for Cleverley, Benteke, Sherwood, Delph and Grealish!!!!!
Get in villa you beauties
We used to be the adams family from wacky races with our football, big dark cloud hanging over us boring to watch.
Now we are the Penelope pit stop, good to look at smile on our faces great spirit
There seems to be a brilliant team spirit around the place as well. Look at the way everybody celebrates the goals, nobody is left out and after Cleverley's goal, everybody seemed to be looking for where Bacuna was, after what was quite possibly the pass of the season.
Watching from the Trinity, half the team ran to Delph after the first.
