Has anyone bought train travel yet? National rail is telling me that they will run additional services from moor st to wembley and to check back nearer the date for times - sort of want to just book tickets for peace of mind and assume it'll be fine to use them for the altered services.

Anyone got any advice/tips for train travel? We drove to the semi but I'm aware there was massive queues at moor st

If you can get to Oxford Services, I can pick you up from there.

I emailed CSP to see if there was any chance of using the Yellow Parking but they're sticking with it being buses only.

They'll be getting as stroppy email if I see any cars in there.

Beware Chiltern on match day. They will be cheap but dry. I am going Friday lunchtime and heading back Sunday lunchtime. £7.50 each way between New Street and Euston.

I'm going to play dumb (not difficult) and drive directly to yellow flash my bit of paper and just go in there. If they boot me out I will go into that brutalistic multi storey otherwise known as red car park.

That's a good shout. I think that I'll do the same. If they turn me around I'll just head up to the Pompidou Multi-storey

Re trains: went with Chiltern for the semi. Queue from hell at Moor St, took an hour and a half. Loads of people with booze - police advised everyone to drink them before reaching the front of the queue! (Or lose them). The amount of empty cans outside the station at 10am was incredible.

Trains are supposedly dry but while they check your bags, you don't get frisked. Therefore some drink did make it onboard.

Getting back on at bout 6.30 at Wembley was a doddle though.

However this time we've paid a bit more to go with Virgin, hopefully for a bit more comfort and less queuing. I would imagine Moor St should be better this time though as later KO should means people's journeys are more spread out. Less fans too obviously.

The queue at Moor Street was a pain for the semi, it was over an hour for us between arriving and departing, but I thought it was well managed and the trains themselves were not overcrowded, there was room for everybody to sit. We stopped in London for a few drinks afterwards and although the train was pretty busy, again there was room for everyone. I'd advise getting a ticket in advance though.

Yeah I'll definitely get one in advance, just not sure whether to get it now or once the new timetable is up?

Does anyone know what the parking provision will be at Villa Park for people taking the official coaches down? And if anyone travelled down this way for the Semi Final, what was the travel time to Wembley?

I do know that the Premier coaches were stuck on the car park for over 2 hours after the semi final.
