I've just sat here crying and I don't really know why. Had tears rolling down my face watching the footage of the cup coming back to Birmingham in 57 and realising that so many people in that video are no longer alive, including friends of mine like Alan Fisher who was Villa mad and who entrusted me with so much of his Villa memorabilia including his Norman Edwards cartoon books and a lovely old Villa tie from the 1950s which hangs above my computer.

Just woke up to the sun shining into the hotel bedroom.
After my own personal version of Planes, Trains and Automobiles to get here and a couple of nerve calming beers with the gent that is Olaftab last night sleeping wasn't a problem.

The knot of nerves in my stomach reminds of something my daughter said before trying a truly mental rollercoaster last summer.

I've not got butterflies in the stomach, it's more like bats!

Hey mate, replied to your PM but not sure it sent?  What block you in?

Hiya Richard, I hope you enjoy your day wherever you are and with all those fond memories.
Up The Villa.

Know how you are feeling.....thinking of my Mom and Dad , she would have her fingers crossed for the whole of the match

My daughter Vicky has come up from Cardiff to watch the match with me and Mrs Oldtimer

Hope you all have a great day and come home safely with the Cup

Didn't sleep last night, up at 6am this morning.  The kids were already awake as well.  Why do we put ourselves through this?!

Doug gave me permission in October 1995 to scatter my Dad's ashes in front of the Holte End, for which I am eternally grateful. He'd be roaring the Villa Boys on today.
