I shouldn't have bothered with coming in to the office this morning. I have done fuck all. My only achievement has been making a round of tea.

To say my mind is elsewhere is the greatest understatement of all time.

sums up my week to be honest; checking H&V every 5 minutes to see if someone else has posted something of interest of there is an injury/fitness update has reduced my productivity below even normal levels...

Setting off for the Midlands in a minute for an overnight stay at my folks. This is actually happening isn't it, we're playing in the cup final tomorrow!

Getting the rattler down this afternoon, having a drink around Whitechapel tonight.

Have dreamt about this day for that long that I can't believe it's almost here.

Just hope the players do the club proud, of which I'm sure they will.

Come on you lions!
I might be cycling past, where will you be?!
I love Villa coming to town :-)

Anyone else get the feeling that Tim Sherwood might spring a surprise or two tomorrow in regards to formation and tactics?  If Richardson isn't fit, then I just wonder whether he might go to a 3-5-2.
I really don't know what to think. Against these I'd go with both Westwood and Sanchez holding, have Benteke on his own up front ahead of Cleverly, Grealish, Delph (4-2-3-1), but I wouldn't be surprised if we're planning on bypassing the midfield a bit and trying to cause them problems with long balls to Benteke with Gabby's pace alongside him (like the first half of the Albion league game). The semi-final formation and performance would be fantastic but will that work as well again?

Can't second guess it - just worried about the utter mare Sanchez had at the Emirates!

Sitting at work. A bag of nerves but so excited. I can remember feeling exactly the same fifteen years ago. So much so they sent me home early as I wasn't getting anything done.
As that feeling has come to me so has the way I felt when I returned home after that game. So, so disappointed, knowing that we hadn't performed and missed a massive opportunity.
Let's hope the players know this and what an opportunity they have to become heroes.
I love the Villa, sometimes more than I should do I know but it's a time like this when I think what it all means to me. So boys don't let this chance pass you by as I don't think I can't wait another 15 years.

We have to attack them. We can't defend and they are dangerous going forward. Their defence is a very weak for a top side. They can play both keepers if they like. They are both shit. I don't think it has been mentioned on here but I heard Wellbeck is out. That is good news. He has impressed me since he went there.

I'm working from home, and have got quite a bit to do, but am doing fuck all as well!
I just keep staring at my tickets and dreaming.
And then reading the Benteke thread to balance my optimism and get depressed.....
