The UK press seem very positive today about our chances. I think an upset could be on the cards.

Make some history boys!!!

Looks like I've been able to arrange a ticket swap with Eddie the Arsenal fan, so we can be on The Villa section. Many thanks to PeterWithesShin for the alert and help in swapping contact information.

that's great Julian...enjoy the atmosphere and the match..

Oh my God it's bloody tomorrow. How are we supposed to get work done today with the FA Cup final tomorrow?

I dreamt about it last night. I think I had a six-hour panic attack.

Getting the rattler down this afternoon, having a drink around Whitechapel tonight.

Have dreamt about this day for that long that I can't believe it's almost here.

Just hope the players do the club proud, of which I'm sure they will.

Come on you lions!

Well folks, I'm not scared.

There will be more nerves in the build up and hour before but I'm just really excited. I've played and won sporting finals that meant a lot to me (as recent as three months ago) and while none of us can control the outcome on the pitch, at the very least I just want the boys to play up and I think they will. Off it, you lot at Wembley can and that's where I think we'll have an edge - we're more passionate about this one.

I like what Sherwood is about, he's good for this group of players and honest as the day is long. I'll be at the Charles Dickens in Melbourne with the Villa faithful, hopefully it's a rowdy turnout.

I don't think I've ever wanted us to win a game more. After all the shit and humiliation we've suffered over the past five years, the O'Neil flounce, Houllier's scouse orgasm, TSM, TSM2, Chelsea away, Bradford, Millwall, Leyton Orient etc, lowest this, shittest that, the Krulak deception, the Bomb Squad, "we'll go again", Fergie's letter, the Shunammite, the false narrative and Christ knows what else, just win it, Villa, and blow it all the fuck away.

Chill. It's just a few drinks, a laugh then a football match.
Followed by days of smiling or years of misery.

I've prayed to the good lord that he plays the successful combination of Benteke,  Charles N'Zogbia and Happy Jack up front. They can move the ball around fast and accurately. If he plays the ponderous overweight Agbonlahor I think we are done for. That player may still have a few remnants of the searing pace he had a few years ago but speed of thought and deed is certainly not his forte.

I see a repeat of our 57 triumph.    2-1. Benteke and Sanchez (when he comes on) to do us proud.

That's a brilliant summation.  Do the business tomorrow and it really could draw a line under the relentless stream of  unmitigated shit of the last 4-5 years

I shouldn't have bothered with coming in to the office this morning. I have done fuck all. My only achievement has been making a round of tea.

To say my mind is elsewhere is the greatest understatement of all time.

If we do win, everything that happens afterwards - Benteke probably going, not knowing if Sherwood is going to succeed, possible takeover - will feel like starting again. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted us to win this trophy, and I never, ever thought we would ever do it. I'm not sure I have any ambitions for the club beyond the FA Cup.
