Should we be in the mood to celebrate on Saturday night / Sunday morning, there's a rather nice Franciacorta brut sparkling wine from Italy at Aldi for £14.99. The name? "Villa Emozione" (I think that means Villa Emotion). Perfect.
Is there an Aldi next door to Wembley?

When we win I'm staying in the area...might buy 2 bottles...those I'm with can get their own!
;-)

My expert consumer advice is to get a couple of bottles in now for the fridge and pop 'em when you get home.
I've told Mrs fmwmu that I'll be home by Tuesday, in time to open my birthday cards! I'll probably be quite happy and a tad thirsty.
Your advice is doubly appreciated Jimbo!

Cheers!

Really disappointed for a mate of mine. He bought a ticket on the web and paid via PayPal last week. No sign of the ticket and the seller has stopped communicating, so looking ominous.

Worst of all, a friend of mine came good with 4 tickets yesterday and I have them earmarked for some people I know but could have put one aside for him.

Well, any spares, Pat, I'm sure I can unburden you.

Sorry Jimbo but they are earmarked for some of the boys from the Kingston Lions. Wherever you are watching I hope you enjoy it - and that you are shitting yourself less than I am.

No problem, Pat. I'm as jittery as Cliff Richard's lawyer; I've really no idea what to expect.

Opinions / suggestions required - me and a couple of mates are trying to decide where to watch match (we couldn't get tickets).

Travel down to Wembley for atmosphere etc and watch in pub round there. Any suggestions, was Clay Oven any good for semi final?

Or should we go into Birmingham city centre... again, any thoughts on good venues?

Thanks in advance... UTV!

20 minutes before the end, we're 2-0 up, you can all walk in free to the Arsenal end. They'll all be leaving or back home by then.

Really sorry to read that. So many scammers about. I'm sure you are aware, but PayPal and a credit card should ideally offer a couple of layers of protection; especially if it was credit card rather than debit I think you can call the bank to stop the payment going through, and I presume there is the paypal route too?

Of course ideally not losing the money, does not bring the ticket to him :/

Maybe if he travels and a spare comes up (given he's been ripped off already) people will think of you/him...

(Obviously I know there are still plenty hunting, no disrespect to them...)

On brighter notes, how great is this thread! So good chatting to neutrals who note how we can click/peak and want us to win...

On the subject of champers, I was anointed to a Gloucestershire fans tradition in 94. Fizz with breakfast before hitting Wembley.

I was old enough to drink some in 96. I reintroduced it to start the weekend before the Bolton semi in 2000 but was not in charge of the final and so we didn't.

2010 was a blur of work both times and I arranged nothing. So for the semi final this time I left nothing to chance and took a decent bottle with me. Winner!

The team for the weekend have all been informed they must take a bottle and start the day that way. And they are.

Even if you can't be there, a cheeky glass of breakfast fizz is recommended. In fact, it is your duty!

Depends if the money was sent as a "friends and family" payment. If he did that, you can't claim iirc.

That would be a bit of a shit stick. Lesson learned...don't pay for goods before seeing them unless via official online outlets.

Just been thinking that it may be a nice souvenir to buy a match programme. Are they worth buying and how much do they charge for them at Wembley? Did anyone get one for the semi-final?

Friends and family option is good if it's someone you know you can trust as Paypal take no fees from the payment. Not a good way to pay a stranger though.

Think it's £10 for the final. Pretty sure they were a fiver for the semi.
