am i wrong in wondering if someone is prepared to pay 500 quid for a match
why didnt they make an effort to go to 6 home matches at villa park
which would have enabled them to get a cup final ticket for £50 or £70

At least one member of this forum is flying over from Australia for the game and the Club Wembley option is the only one available to him without resorting to a tout outside the ground. Now that's what I call a real effort.

I am also flying over from Oman, so could not attend 6 home matches, I have now got a ticket in the Villa end, paid well over the odds in some peoples eyes but not in mine, worth every penny and the Villa fan I bought it off is going on holiday so cannot use it, but he will now be able to buy himself a season ticket for next season, so as far as I am concerned a win win.

match ticket + travel + refreshments for six matches, plus wembley ticket. if you're from outside birmingham, there isn't much change from £500 for that.

That's all well & good or you both but what about the person next in the queue who had been to 5 games or so and missed out on a final ticket at face value ?

Blame the FA for that, not fellow Villa fans who are travelling half way round the world and paying well over the odds for a ticket. It's a fucking scandal how they treat fans of the finalists

I personally blame the person buying a ticket purely to sell on to make money on it .

It's a strange market for the tickets though. I would have anticipated that Arsenal with so many season tickets holders unable to get tickets would have made the price of the neutral tickets even higher than they are. I know if half our season ticket holders were unable to get tickets there would be a right price war going on.

Out of interest just worked it out, bearing in mind I have a ST and had to pay separately for FA Cup games (which I have not included here).
Going to six games at VP and FA Cup semi - £510!
(although I did overdo the "refreshments" at the SF!)
:D

Not everyone had the foresight and vision of myself to buy tickets and attend every round (bar Leicester game where I just bought 2 tickets and proceeded to go on holiday). All joking aside , even after demolishing Blackpool at home with a solitary 93rd minute winner who in their right mind saw us making the final !!

Please don't advertise tickets that are a blatant attempt to get every penny you can out of fellow fans. Thanks.
