It was also very interesting to read their observations on that thread about the Villa support, namely that it was younger and a lot more ethnically diverse. They feel like a relic from the 70s off and on the pitch, now. It's a slow death if it is a death, but I hope it continues.
I think they are saying too many day-trippers more than a relic form the 70's

Well, it's a wanker and a hat, anyway.

Yes I read that but there were loads of young replica shirt clad black and asian Liverpool fans about.

Were they Scousers though? The point here being we'rent  they just part of the glory hunting diaspora.

I also see its the stadium fault for being unidirectional for its noise travelling qualities.

And for being a modern stadium. They love the Millenium Stadium though, which as we all know isn't a modern stadium.

Back home, on Merseyside after a brilliant weekend - I spent a lovely time with my son VCTM jnr - he now has a fantastic  positive Villa memory to look back on. The atmosphere created by the Villa fans was electric. My pride in the Villa was restored after a brilliant display of attacking football. The atmosphere at the Clay Oven was fun too.
I look forward to another weekend in North London in May
Jnr is looking forward to school tomorrow when they return after half term - I wished I could be there with him as he just gives that knowing smirk to all those who predicted a Liverpool win.
As for me its Karma - I have held a grudge since we lost at Anfield in the Cup around the late 1960`s (1967?) It was my first visit to Liverpool and it was spoiled by Ian ST John scoring the winner at the Kop end despite being a mile off side - up yours Ballotelli and the mighty Kop - thats how it feels to get robbed by the effin linesman!!!!

I noticed a lot of asian Liverpool fans in the posh bit where we were.

Brilliant, brilliant day, but on the downside we've lost Clark and Baker for the season, leaving only 2 fit CBs. Does anybody know if there is any chance of Senderos being fit to return before the season ends.

Love the kid in black for the first 10-15 seconds. he clearly 'gets' it.

interesting stat that we have the best record of any Prem team at the Emirates. Hopefully we can turn that into an even better stat come May 30th.

The ones I heard speaking seemed to be southerners.

So, the last time we played West Brom in a quarter-final was 1957 and the last time we beat Liverpool in a semi-final was 1897.
