Genuine scouse Liverpool fans seem to be OK, as others have said, it is really the day-tripping glory hunters who let them down.

Spoke to a few Devonian ones in Kilburn before the game, they were trying a bit hard but they were sound as well.

Watched it again this morning, what was going on in the lat few minutes, the Villa fans just seemed to go mad, usually we're biting our fingernails and praying but you lot just roared like you believed it was all over.
Magnificent.
Where did you watch it?  I was too busy chewing my hand to notice the noise.

Can't complain about Liverpool fans. We spoke to dozens after the match  in the queue, on the Tube and various establishments and they were all complimentary and to a man/woman/child said we deserved it.

The same goes for those who phoned in to speak to SVC on the radio

Paul Lambert's bitter other half speaks:-

But Villa fans, as #BCFC fan @TheSpecialRon pointed out amid Villa's jubilant celebrations, you don't get the trophy for winning the semi!!

I hope TS reads that put down and quotes it back at Nursey next time he tries to speak to our manager.

Cant win can you, sit on your hands with your jester hat on and you've sanitized the Cup, go mental when we win and it's  small time.

I couldn't give a fuck, I like beating other teams in big games, if a journalist who has never paid for a ticket in his life is looking down his nose I wont lose sleep.

What a day - for many reasons - but the main one being I managed to get a ticket for my Mom - who loved every minute of the day.

And it kept her mind off her chemotherapy which starts tomorrow.

She is positive and she will beat it - but whatever happens , 5 members and 3 generations of my family have had a day together than no one can ever take away from us .

UTV - God bless x

Beautiful. All the very best of luck to her.

I shall remember that roar that came out of the Villa fans from the 85th minute for the rest if my life.

This. A hundred times over this. Sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it.

Outstanding. Why I love Villa.  We've had to put up with some real dross for the last few years and this was a culmination of all that anger and frustration let out on a fantastic day out at Wembley.

Remy Juniors - I , II, III all put on their shirts and supported their Dad. Brought a few tears. My Aston Villa. Our Aston Villa. #Fought Like Lions.

I cant single out any one individual player - they were all magnficent.

Beaten Spuds and 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' in one week. Arse wont take us lightly now.

Get a good result against the oil barons on Saturday - world sit up and take notice again.

Finest performance for me since 1996.

Thing is, you need to be in the final to win the trophy

I think it was more trying to just roar them across the finish line. I like to think that it worked!!
