I know some may not agree, but I'm glad for Lerner that we've got to the cup final before he potentially sells the club. I truly believe this was the sort of thing he dreamt of when he bought the club.

What a day - for many reasons - but the main one being I managed to get a ticket for my Mom - who loved every minute of the day.

And it kept her mind off her chemotherapy which starts tomorrow.

She is positive and she will beat it - but whatever happens , 5 members and 3 generations of my family have had a day together than no one can ever take away from us .

UTV - God bless x

Fucking hell. What a day that was.

Sat on the halfway line in the Club Wembley seats so pretty much equidistant from both sets, and our fans were just awesome.

A couple of minutes from the end there was a roar of encouragement which was so loud it was honestly like nothing I have heard at a match in years.

A real "moment"

I saw this on the telly. The Villa fans just started jumping up and down, roaring, even though there was clearly a few minutes left. It was a rare moment of confidence and sheer will. So glad for yourself and the Villans that made it down there. Our away fans are superb.

It was truly spine tingling, just a massive roar of encouragement. Our fans had been loud throughout, but that bit was just incredible.

I was sat next to a family from Northumberland, neutrals, who kept on saying how loud our lot were and by the end were cheering as much as we were.

We were in the posh seats in the Liverpool end, but there were a surprisingly hight number of Villa fans around us,  All you could hear all game were the Villa fans at the other end, a truly spine-tingling, never to be forgotten match.  This is up there with the Tranmere semi for me, in fact I probably enjoyed today more because of all the shit we've endured for the last few years.  We've just outplayed and deserved to win against two top 6 teams in the space of a week.

Around us in the CW seats I'd say it was 60% Liverpool, 30% us and the rest neutrals.

We got chatting to a couple of 50 something scouse blokes behind us before the match. After the match as they left, they made a point of wishing us the best in the final and saying that the best team had won. A gracious pair.

Unlike the surly faced dick in front, who, whilst our fans were drowning out YNWA, got really pissed off and shouted "show some fucking respect".

Today has been the best Villa supporting day for a long time.

Good luck to FFD's mom. Hope all goes well.

Fantastic performance and result!

Loved Benteke's reaction towards our fans after the final whistle - he led the team forward and really showed what it meant to him!

No problem with what you say.

The first 4 years were great and for that he deserves credit

Is it true about a Liverpool FC tweet re cup final ticket details being announced tomorrow, that they've subsequently apologised about?

I've seen it but not seen an apology.
