I might be in the minority here, but Ill stick up for Doug -I'm sure he only ever wanted what's best for Aston Villa FC

Nope. but respect him massively for the way he is now following the club.
He's followed us for decades

I don't wish him any ill will now, he's an old bloke with no influence down the Villa. But i'll also never forget or forgive, especially his treatment of the Barton family.

Did he follow us when he was at Blues or Wolves?

Some Villa fans have short memories.
Indeed, and selective.

Come on then, tell us about Mr Aston Villa's decades-long support.

What is selective about Herbert being in charge of Blues and Wolves, and also trying to get rid of Ron Saunders at AGM?

I'm confused.
OMG =
didn't know about how he treated Barton as manager and then his family after his untimely death?
didn't know he'd been on the board at the sty and dingle city?
still thinks he never made a penny out of the club?
can't see why anyone might still hold any or all of the above against him?

What's selective about remembering that Ellis, and as such Villa, showed less respect to the Barton family than Barry Fry and Birmingham City did?

A great Villa win but still despair?
