I'd appeal the Sanchez red aswell, I don't think that was any more than a yellow personally.
Second booking wasn't it?

I'm also pleased to see that we're closing the gap in term of goals scored. One behind Sunderland and closing on Hull and Burnley. I don't think we'll be finishing bottom of the goals chart. Good job Timmy.

Tim's win ratio at Spurs since he got the boot - 100%.  Hahaha...

What a result and great that everyone else lost too - I don't think Leicester can catch us so nice to drag the Albion into the mix.  Their fans are getting very nervous...

Yeah. I think that red has been coming to be honest. He's late to so many challenges and he's been an accident waiting to happen. It's unfortunate given we should have had a freekick just before that, but as a pro you play to the whistle, and you certainly don't make a clumsy challenge like that when you're already on a yellow.

Just as they were at VP, Spurs are a dirty, niggling side. They got what they deserved out of this game, nothing. It should have been at least 3-0.

The sheer blood and guts battling from the team alone was worth the points. We didn't concede a meaningful shot at Guzan's goal all afternoon. The only downside was two off injured and several hobbling at the final whistle. Sanchez was a double yellow, he will miss the semi but will be back for the next league game.

Christ knows who we will field next week. Maybe a NextGen reunion team led by Grealish.

Very bad day for the Albion. Leicester was their last chance saloon for stick-on points, they have a nightmare run-in. As do a few of the others around us.

Toss up between Vlaar or Cleverley for MOTM for me. Cleverley didn't put a foot wrong and Vlaar was back to his best today.

Thrilled it had to be Benteke that got the goal but we should of been out of sight via Delph who simply had to score.

Oh well 10 points from 24 now and things are looking much better!!

I haven't taken real drugs for decades, but from what I recall, that was better. Absolutely buzzing.

I honestly didn't think Spurs were much to worry about after taking a bit of notice of them (for the first time this season) last week v Burnley, and so it proved.

I have. And I can confirm that it is better. This will still feel amazing in the morning.

What a superb team performance, didn't play great but battled throughout and fully deserved victory. Benteke was amazing up front, Delph and Cleverley ran the midfield, Baker was superb when he came on, but Ron Vlaar just beats them to my MOTM. He may be on his way but he was brilliant. I thought Sanchez had an average game and lost his head with that booking cos the dopey ref let Rose kick his way through two Villa players without giving a free kick. Great results all round so far as brings the Baggies back into the equation. Lets hope the injuries to Gabby and Clark (did anyone hear Tony "I know everything" Gale saying early on that if Clark carries on his form he may get a chance with England.) are not too bad

Both Weimann and Delph should have scored . Cleverley, as he always, does put in an enormous shift.

He does know there are no points up for grabs doesn't he?

It was a second booking for Sanchez. The first was when Probert held up 5 fingers to him to say repeated fouling. Sanchez shouldn't have dived in but Probert lost control of the game when he kept letting fouls go towards the end. I'm not sure what it is with this fixture - the ref lost control in the home game too.

Massive win. Two more wins and 38 points will do it. I have been saying for weeks that three teams will go down with very low points totals. No way will three of the five teams below us get forty points. Looking at their run ins they will all struggle to get 35.
