The gaffer was an Asian guy called Steve. There always used to be a group of old West Indian guys playing dominoes and slamming them down so hard it made you jump.

In the days of afternoon closing sometimes ended up in a drinking den on Ralph road. Just a house with a bar and fruit machine.
Isn't the gaffer of the Journeys a Hell's Angel ?
There's a pub on Chester Road called The Toby Jug on Castle Brom / Kingshurst border which purports to show 3.00 p.m. kick offs on a Saturday. The area seems to be evenly split between Blues and Villa. However that pub looks like it may attract people banned from other pubs in the area - and beyond. Is this just my perception?

I used to deal with her when I was supplying acts for pubs and clubs. A lot of bikers used to use The Poacher down the road when it was still open. Especially when they had the Mr Q's at the back. Although the cue action was often less Jimmy White and more Zorro.

I know a pub in Sutton, I need one in the city!Bloody hopeless you lot - pages of reminiscing about watering holes from hell in bandit country are no help at all!
