You did.  I'd never heard of it. It was called something else when I was younger. Never been in it.

No I'm sure that the ruing of bells closed down and was earmarked for demolition but had some kind of listing which delayed it, then it burnt down

The George V on common lane has a decent back room and beer garden now. Used to be a real tough pub, what was it called ?

Lots of pubs catch fire. The Manor at Sheldon did as well. It's always reckoned to be an insurance job; the possibility of vagrants dossing down and starting fires to keep warm never gets mentioned.
