Hi Ho is more of a Dingles song. We only tend to get it played at big matches rather than a regular thing. Pretty sure it was one of the songs played after the '96 final.

I really like this too.  I wouldn't object to any of the songs suggested, to be honest, they all have their merits.

What happened to the Jean Michel Jarre classic we used to run out to in the late ’80s? That would strike the fear of Zeus into the opposition.

I've gone for Ghostriders.

I was thinking about that too. Here it is and although I wouldn't suggest it for Wembley, it's nice to hear again.

PS we did used to come out to Kasabian for a short time during the reign of their showbiz pal, Martin O'Neill though I am not surprised that many people have blotted the memory out.

Maybe we should bring back the Pigbag mix.

The problem with Hi Ho is that the rest of the song is largely irrelevant, and other than shouting Hi Ho Aston Villa a couple of times there's nothing much to sing along with.

I tend to agree in that I don't think many know the song other than the chorus but! I found these lyrics somewhere - probably this site. I don't know if they are definitive or if definitive lyrics even exist to any song, but here's what I sing:

We're everywhere that you are Villa
That's where we're at
We're the Holte End behind the Villa
We're at every match

Up and down the country
We will sing this song
When you get behind the Villa
You can't go wrong

And it's...

I voted for The Bells Are Ringing. Not an anthem from my time, but one that has the (potential) grandeur to suit Villa.

I've just heard the TFAUSM song for the first time and nearly fell asleep. I don't get it anyway. Must be an age/nostalgia thing.

Hurricane smith for me, every time. I see it as our song to come out on the pitch to at VP. Might not translate that well to Wembley, but fuck it, we're Villa and it's our song.
