I think this calls for a...

Pitch inspection? 30 wickets falling in two days?

Nah, law 17(b): "a team shall only be deducted points for a poor pitch if they come from Birmingham and play in a district starting with "E". Umpires' reports will be ignored. A moany article in a local rag from an opposition fan will be considered sufficient evidence of malpractice."

Most importantly, Bell is getting some form back.

Most importantly, Bell is getting some form back.

With Bell I'm not sure he's been out of form at any point in the last few years, what his done is, whilst wearing a England shirt, Walk under a ladder, have a black cat cross his path and drop a bunch of mirrors out of shock.  Watch his dismissals for England for the last year and a hell of a lot of them are just brilliant deliveries or ones that do something 'odd' off the pitch.  If you then watch the rest of his batting in those test you'd be hard pressed to find anything in his form/technique which is being exploited.  I'm not absolving him of blame, I think it's got into his head now, but I don't think he's got problems that he can go away and work on and come back stronger.  I genuinely don't know what to think about him, if it carries on he'll have to be dropped but it'll be tough to know what to tell him to do to get back in because there's nothing to 'fix' and his club form shows that very clearly.

Great fight back by Bell and Clarke who have a partnership of 121. Bell 101 and Clarke 60. 227 for 5. I am at New Road getting pleasantly pissed, so don't rely on me for scoring duties. Shantry had a very good hostile spell early on but spinners on for a good few overseas before lunch.

Might already be time to start the covering one eye thing.

Good call to be fair. It only got worse. I did the last session in the G Hick pavillion, and I felt sorry for them, to be honest.

Great win for the Bears .To beat the Pears  inside two days Ali and Ajmal, included is pretty impressive. For me personally, cricket wise the only thing sweeter than thrashing them at Edgbaston,is to thrash them at New road COYB

Warwickshire v Yorkshire is live on Sky, in case anyone who has Sky didn't know. Coverage is on now, play starts at half two.

Still not quite sure how we've won 5 out of 7 and our net run rate is the second worst in the division !

I think because we got absolutely hammered in the two games we did lose.

That was a strange game that never really got started. Still a win is a win.

What struck me was the size of the crowd. Sunday has always been a popular county cricket day, going back as far as the John Player League. There was a much bigger crowd today compared to the Friday night games.

Good. Friday nights might work for some teams but I'm not sure it does for us. Trying to get out of Edgbaston at 11.30pm is a pain in the arse.

The game usually finishes well before 9.30, but it is still a pain in the scrotum.  I have waited for a bus on the Bristol Road for over 30 minutes on numerous occasions. On Friday, I waited for 40 minutes to get a bus towards the city, and it was an X64 single decker. I can walk to the ground in an hour and a quarter so I should not complain really, as most of the walk is quite peasant. FYI, coming back the wait was 25 minutes.

After Friday nights disappointment it was good to get back on track against the Tykes. It always feels good to get one over them . Like others on here, not quite sure how we have won 5 out of 7 but I'll take it
