I have been to the new Wembley on three occasions, twice to see us and I have driven to Ruislip and got the tube in before going onto the pub.

The question here is whether its me parking at Ruislip that is causing these defeats and should I alter my method of transport for the day?

Definitely make the change. Since I changed the car park I use on Villa Park matchdays we have been sensational.

Something else that isn't widely known is that you can now use contactless credit/debit cards on TfL buses/tubes as an Oyster which cuts the price by half and saves having to buy tickets.
So you dont need to "shell out" for an Oyster then ? Another pearl of wit from Merseyside ;)

Remember that the buses don't take cash so don't try...buses don't take contactless either - at least not in South London recently no idea if this has changed. Contactless is for trains and tubes and is the way to go. Sorry to be all northen monkeys but do you have it in Birmingham? If not it's the easiest and most convenient way to travel. There was also some report down here that certain travel is cheaper with contactless than oyster. Don't know what that was though.

Of course we don't. West Midlands buses still want the exact fare off you.

I can't get my ticket yet but booked the train today as the prices seem to be creeping up. £37 return from new street. 8.30am out and around 8.30pm back.

I think we've got better since I stopped shouting "we want Lambert out" during the game.

No just Euston and back. Not sure if they are putting any football specials on.

So you'll need to add on a tube return ticket . £7.90 ?

Surely 2 singles - new St to Euston would be cheaper than £29?
