Chuffing ada, its an hour and a half down the road, cant you make do with a seat, a beer, a driver and an engine?
normally someone destroys the bog.....does it stop for many piss breaks ?  :)

UTV
The Doc
On the way there, yes, with coaches strictly in convoy/numerical order.
No stops usually on the way back...by which time the bog is covered in piss and soggy bog roll.
Which is nice.

If anyone is looking for good rates at a decent hotel then the Hilton London Metropole currently has a flash sale with rooms at £119 (which trust me is as good as it gets for that hotel) on the Saturday evening. There is a Patisserie Valerie on the opposite side of the Edgware Road where you can get a good breakfast and tube connections are excellent with Circle, District, Hammersmith & Fulham and Bakerloo lines all within two minutes walk.

I'll be hopping on the 83 bus from the end of my road in Golders Green, at a cost of around £1.50. I hope it has WiFi!

Welcome back Purple Trousers.

Thank you Dave, good memory! I had to check if you were welcoming me back from my 4month ordination retreat in the Spanish mountains last year, and only just found this

I don't know how much more of this anxiety I can take.  I wish I was with our friend Purple Trousers, at least he doesn't know how bad it's got.  When he gets back he won't have a clue which division we'll be in.

It's lovely to know I was thought of even though I was one month in, sorry it must have been hellish for everyone. A happier thread title eh?! I got ordained & got a new name June 9th last year. We had a couple of days after the retreat ended still out there at the end of July. I was given a mysterious folded newspaper and told to tuck it inside my robes on the last day. It turned out it was from the friend that usually organises our Buddhist football tournament and was left with instructions for it to be handed over to me soon as: the football supplement from the Guardian on the 12th of May! What a treasure that was. Funnily enough having put it away as instructed, I couldn't sleep that night and ended up reading it. What relief! (And what titbits you pick up from match reports, 'acting manager Ryan giggs' etc.) So yes I heartily recommend living for a period as a monk, out of all media/outside contact as a way of avoiding a relegation battle!

Unsurprising when you have so long to think, I did start having fantasies of being given a name with 'siha' =Lion in it; I even worked out 'Ujusiha' would have meant 'Lion of Ethics' or (morally)'upright lion'. (Kinda like rampant lion?). Anyway I got a blessed with an unusually  short name which do-able in the NHS, the villa stayed up and I didn't have to witness England bombing out. It's still weird having to acknowledge I missed the World Cup (not seen any of the Vlaar heroics). I may even get a £10 shirt on Saturday and get my new name stuck on it :)

No champagne on arrival at the coach station or complementary massage 'extras'? What is this, Megabus?

Chiltern Rail from Stourbridge/Moor Street £29 - but all change at High Wycombe for Wembley Stadium?
That should be a scramble!

Hiliton London Kensington (which is actually more Shepherds Bush than Kensington) is at £105.

Close to cheap (by London standards) parking at Westfield

I am driving down - and have booked parking spaces on someones drive just behind the Green Man Pub via Justpark for £12.50.

10/15 min walk to Wembley - and easy to get away from after the game.

One thing I've learnt from this thread is that some manage to partake in a forum without the ability to read. It's quite remarkable.
