Its their own fault. Include cup games in season tickets to justify stupid prices/greed, when you get to the final / semi-final with a lower allocation than season ticket holders its obvious a proportion of that group are going to be disappointed.

it's chelsea v man united 5.30pm on the saturday on sky.

common sense tells you it'll be the arsenal semi-final on saturday lunch time, but common sense also said the villa v wba wouldn't be on a saturday evening...

Maybe, but Wembley holds 90,000 and the clubs only get 64,000 tickets. That's the real scandal - every year

I haven't got a season ticket this year for the first time in 15 years, but I've still been to 9 home games so should have no worries with Wembley tickets. As our semi-final allocation is higher than our average attendance anyone who's attended games this year should have no problems. Wouldn't be surprised if the semi final tickets went on general sale.

I'm not sure I agree with your logic. You are assuming its the same people turning up every match. If we have 20k ST each match and, say average 30k each game we have 10k non ST for those games. Unless its exactly the same 10k the number of attendees is more than the average. I think it will be more difficult for tickets than you expect.

IIRC the Carling Cup Final allocation in 2010 ended up being on sale to anyone who had been to 2 or more home games. Considering we were averaging 5k+ more then than we are now, I'd say most people who've been to a game this year have a good chance.

It does seem to be taking a very long time doesn't it? As someone said, I think ours will be Sunday and Arsenal's Semi on Saturday lunchtime.

Re allocations, unfortunately this will never change, especially whilst there's 17,500 Club Wembley corporate clients talking up the entire Middle tier that need looking after.

I have been trying to popularise the phrase "corporate ringpiece" to describe this and its equivalent at Arsenal.

Its not just corporate clients in the middle tier at Wembley. Ordinary Club Wembley seat holders are in there as well.
