If he'd have got his wish and Albion had the whole of the North, wouldn't that have meant far less tickets for them?

I think he's assuming they'd also have got the traditional away seats.

No, they'd have had a few more.

Man United seem to have no trouble with away fans being above home supporters or Newcastle. The way this has been reported is so over the top. Its hardly Small Heath and Leeds or Millwall and Luton style riots is it?

A couple of quotes from the BBC:

BBC 7th Nov 2014 after Warrington beat Exeter
There's no pitch invasion like an FA Cup pitch invasion. #getcarriedaway

BBC 7th March 2015
FA Cup pitch invasion: Villa Park scenes throwback to 'dark ages'.

Commendation on Hypocrisy Spot.

Can you imagine if it was those loveable Liverpool fans celebrating on the pitch what Lawro and co would be stating. '...means so much. They love the FA Cup. StevieMe's 35th birthday.....' blah de fucking blah

Its the Wembley thing why we ran on the pitch .

If  we were going to be at old Trafford or somewhere for the semis , I don't think many would have ran on the pitch .

Its because the club is going to Wembley and that blame is the f.a , as its ridiculous the semi finals are at Wembley.

This is all utter nonsense. The primary reason that people ran on the pitch is euphoria at us getting to Wembley, not to start a riot.  A huge factor in this is the fact that a lot of people were absolutely hammered after a whole day on the p*ss, thanks to a 5.30pm kick off dictated by (I would imagine) the football league and the BBC.  They wanted passion, they got it.  And couldn't wash their hands of it quickly enough.

Those last two sentences are the most accurate of the whole saga.

Definitely and whatever your views on whatever subject it shows the power of the BBC to set the agenda.

A bit like that scene in "A few good men".

"You want the truth, you can't handle the truth."

Or something...

Just listed to 606 podcast from Saturday. Nice to here Savage defending the full pitch invasion. And to hear Delph clear up the biting comment saying it was a bit of rough kissing from fans. Wanker media writing any shit about him being biten to the extent a colleague showed me an article from Is real saying something like 'Aston Villa hooligans bite captain in riot'. What utter shit

A lot of people involved in the media these days are almost professional trolls - they say whatever will get the most interaction or comment. There was a massive media over-reaction but there was nothing else to talk about.

If I hear crowd trouble again.

The crowd trouble came from the away fans throwing seats.

ffs

Wow!

Wish I was seven.

Wow indeed, spine tingling. Lovely how the little lad has all his relatives there, how fantastic is that! I felt for a couple of the older teenage girls who looked very self-conscious in the Villa kit, reminded me of my two at that age

They also exhibit a lack of feel and understanding for the game they are covering.
