Our last FA Cup 6th round home tie was in 1960 when we beat Tom Finney's Preston 2-0, 2 of my heroes Gerry Hitchens and Peter McParland got the goals. How we could do with them now. Crowd was nearly 70,000 don't think there will be that many there today!

I feel really nervous now, it's that unfamiliar feeling of almost expectancy. Ironically, I think in a strange way I would be looking forward to it more had we not won on monday, as it would feel like we had nothing to lose. Today does feel different- even setting out on Tuesday night- the hope I held was offset by the expectation of capitulation if we went one down. Tuesday changed things a lot- today I know we will go for it, doesn't mean we'll beat them of course but it it great travelling and knowing that there is clearly a different attitude.
