Hutton plays the ball.

That's shocking from Hutton. He had a clear run at him and still missed his balls.

It is all a bit frenetic but that's fine for now

We need  three or four more wins I revkon, tops. Playing like that will see us lose games too, but you'd hope it will be enough

Goals
Thanks. Gabby's first touch as usual was shit but second just superb.

I thought his first touch was just about perfect.
It was a heavy touch, but he got away with it because of his pace.  The one where Lescott cleared off the line was also too big of a touch and he didn't get away with it that time.

His touch is the only thing that separates Gabby and Messi

4 more wins would give us 37 points (even without any drawn games) and most seasons that's usually enough to stay up.

Utter bell end.

Can't help but laugh at that sorry kid. Hilarious to see how proud the Bags are even when they're a few points off the drop. Deluded idiots.

I should have mentioned earlier, I thought Westwood wsa very good yesterday: more dynamic and proactive, and his defensive work was much better than previously.
He played in a midfield unit that looked dynamic and complementary too.

It seems that something is happening on the training ground, and it looks promising.

A big part of that was the change of shape and the extra movement.  He could look up and see a forward pass straight away, which is key for way he plays, he can be the 'conductor' in there but he needs something to work with, too often in the last 2 seasons he had to either hit long into the channels or turn back/sideways last night nzog, cleverley, grealish and delph all gave him options early which made him look much more effective.

It was that moment he looked round to see the culprit, only for it to dawn on him that it's him alone.

Last night might mean more but it couldn't top that.

In the second half I noticed that our players have a complete fear of crossing the ball (particularly on the right side closest to me). I hope that this is addressed in the summer as Benteke should thrive on decent crosses being put in.

I think this was a deliberate decision from Sherwood - he said on BT after the game that Pulis sides want you to cross, so the thing to do is try and play through them instead.
On the stats, Benteke only won about 6 out of 20+ headers all night so sounds like the plan was right.

Dreadful challenge, without condoning it though we've been too nice now for far too long.
