Former Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar showed he still has a soft spot for his former club as he celebrated their win over West Brom via Twitter.

The Spaniard sent messages out when Gabby Agbonlahor struck their opener, and after Christian Benteke scored a last minute penalty to win the game after Saido Berahino had draw the Baggies level.

Yesssss!!!!!!! Cmon Villa 👏👏💪

Vamos!!!!!! Great win #AVFC 2-1 #WBA

Get the fuck in.

Oh and have that you stripey bastard c***s

"Justice for football" my commentator said.
Probably not Poul Hansen - he is horrible - blamed Benteke for not even touching the ball, even if he had an assist. No wonder he got fired as a manager :)

No, but he was in the studio trying not to look down Camilla Martins cleavage :)

(One of the better things about the move.  Swapping Gary Linekar for Camilla.  v. nice)

There is a pattern emerging. I couldn't go to the Sunderland 6-1. I didn't go last night.

I'm not going to the FA cup games(due to timings and other commitments)  Legion, so if I can make the sacrifice.....;)

They're definitely starting to realise that Pulis isn't going to undergo some sort of transformation in how he likes his sides to play just because he's gone to the club "whose model Swansea are following" (read that on that westbrom.com forum this morning).

If I could have wrote a script on how I wanted that game to go, that would have been it.

One of my fave endings to a drama ever!

The one thing I want to know is:  which one of you elder statesmen was seen flicking the vee's to the Albion fans at the end of Sherwood's run after Gabby's goal?  Come on, own up,

Now, script for Saturday....3-0 up at half time please and knock it around for 45 minutes a la Barca with Holte End shouting Ole!!

From their forum just now, talking about Foster.

Quote
He has conflicting interests.

It's no surprise that the two players who it seems are standing out as having 'bad' games (I.e. Foster and Lescott) are both villa fans.

Clearly, Lescott has always shown his love of Villa whenever he plays (giving it the big man after they scored last night, that hilarious equaliser at Goodison, followed by a bit of posing, and then his sad face as he looked a dick when Ashley Young promptly scored again).

Jesus...some people. Whoever said that needs to be trapped in a giant butterfly net and dragged away by men in white coats. They'll be taking credit for the Barcelona model next.

What position was Lowton playing?  Left back?
Has he got a decent left foot?

I thought it was the other way round and they were trying to be Swansea. Hence the practically all white shirts.

Nice. Despite not giving much attention to the Albion I can understand the importance of beating them for all our Black Country Villans and you, Lee. Having to live with them every day must be a chore. No doubt they'll be claiming it was a "flukey" win for us. I wonder what the excuse will be on Saturday?

Those 700 passes we made half way through the second half with the Holte singing "We're Aston Villa, we're taking the piss" must have grated the West Brasil fans. Deep down, they know what they are.

Yes, left back. Think he's only playing there due to lack of other options but predominantly cut inside to use his right foot. He still did a good job last night. I suspect if Cissokho is fit on Saturday he'll move across to right back.

Wtaching us last night, it was the best we had played for a while.

At times, it was like watching a threshing machine, it was that manic, but the desire to win every loose ball and oress the Albion was there. That attitude got us on the front foot. It is hard to defend against pace, people running at you, putting crosses in and it was pleasing to see us carry on from some of the good things we did against Newcastle.

Importantly the players reacted to the pressure of the situation and will have gained a lot of confidence.

The crowd was very good I felt and that seemed to effect the way the players went at it. They didn't stop their good work after 15 minutes, but carried it on. If we had been 4-0 up at half time, they couldn't have complained. Foster should have been sent off anyway in the first half for a stick on penalty.

Moss seemed to miss a lot of Stoke Mk II man handling off the ball as well, but we stuck to it, even when we seemed to be running out of ideas. It was a huge result and to say I was happy with it, was an understatement.
