Gardner is up there with John Terry in terms of bellend-level for me. Ugly prick too.

Sherwood pre-game saying WBA are a nice little club but he's glad he's at a massive club. Not helpful IMO, rather than trying to get the fans on side with these comments he needs to do it with results and performances.

Where has he said that ? Got a link

Sherwood has a pop at 'little' West Brom

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has stoked up tomorrow's West Midlands derby by taking a swipe at 'little' West Brom.

Sherwood was close to being named Baggies head coach last summer before Alan Irvine was appointed.

The former Tottenham manager insists he has no hard feelings at being overlooked for the job.

Sherwood said: "Is there any extra needle in this match for me? Not at all. Good little club isn't it?

"It just wasn't right for me and wasn't right for them. I am delighted to be at this massive club."

They are a little club and we are a massive one, Sherwood is right. Thats
why Sandwell and Small Heath hate us so much.

We might loose tomorrow, we might get relegated but it won't change it.

Craig Gardner will no doubt suffer a similar fate as Tait did while supping in the old Clements at some point in the future. The wheel will turn for that gobshite.

Chapman, Barton and Claridge have just said pretty much the same on Monday Night Club on 5Live.

Can't say I disagree.

He is right, but should not have said it 24 hours before we play them in a game we need to win way more than them!

Wonder if its some kind of effort to put the focus on him rather than the team? Either way its a strangely provocative thing to say.

From the Daily Heil

Quote

West Brom have pulled away from the bottom three under Pulis, having kept five clean sheets and gained 12 points in his seven league games at the helm, and Sherwood appreciates the solidity he has brought there.

'Tony's done a very good job, similar to what he did at Crystal Palace last season,' Sherwood admitted.

'He's working with the players he's got – it's horses for courses – and Tony thinks he's got the players to play that way.

'With the players I've got available, with the injuries we've got, I don't think we can do that. We can't put four centre-backs across the back.'

Ron Vlaar has served a one-match ban for his red card in Sherwood's opening 2-1 defeat at home by Stoke City but misses this game with a calf injury. Aly Cissoko, Kieran Richardson, Philippe Senderos and Nathan Baker are also all out injured.

So Sherwood will urge Villa to take the game to West Brom as they seek to end their run of seven consecutive league defeats. Even a point would lift Villa out of the bottom three

'I think we'll have a lot of the football,' Sherwood said. 'We need to be patient and try and open them up the best we can.

'If we get the goal, they'll have to come out and change the strategy. That is our aim, to come out and play on the front foot and break their team down.'

Sherwood added that if Villa beat Albion tonight, he believes that will give them the impetus to stay up. 'I'm only thinking about tomorrow night,' he said. 'Win that, we'll be out the relegation zone and we won't look back.'

Anyone buying this Berahino big injury doubt?

I remember whenever we used to play Stoke at the Brit when he was there he'd claim pre match half his team would be missing and magically they'd all be right as rain at kick off.

Less worried about Brown Ideye but he has been scoring aswell.

0-0

We don't do any sort of attacking away from home. We just shove men behind the ball and play for a point. The onus and all the pressure is on you to get a result.

We have a few problems ourselves at the moment with Brown Ideye and Saido Berahino both picking up injuries - that leaves us with the permanent injured Victor Anichebe.

Really looking forward to the game however - we have a great chance to beat you three times in one season which would be nice but the Albion way is a whole heap of disappointment so I wouldn't be surprised to see you win both fixtures.

Ultimately it's the Pulis way. The bloke is good at it. Win 10 home games a season as he did at Stoke and also was on course to do at Palace if he'd had a full season and to stay up you only really need 6-7 away points which is nothing over 19 games. You must be happy you're winning regularly at the Hawthorns surely?

Albion were pretty naive in this game last season. Were 2-0 up after 10 minutes and kept flooding forward. That happens tomorrow night and you won't leave the 18 yard box.

1-1.

Not going to be enough.

I'd take a draw tomorrow, mainly because we just need to stop losing.

Will pile the pressure on to get at least 4 points from Sunderland and Swansea as I don't see us picking up much in April at all.

Really don't understand why Sherwood would provoke WBA before the game ?? Smacks of inexperience .

Why do we get so wound up about the effect of what our players and managers say?
