I haven't got a problem with Carver,
We took the piss when they were relegated
They will take the piss back if we go down, there is no point getting all precious about it,
That's the way it is and that's the way it should be

It's not us still whinging about it after 6 years.

The thing is it's one thing their fans enjoying giving us a bit of stick. It's just a bit weird when their manager comes out and says it. Even if he thinks it it would be more professional not to comment.

That was my first thought as well. After last week's trouncing, maybe it's his feeble way of trying to get the fan's on his side.

going for this line up. It is likely nothing like the team itself but given our needs and injuries I'll go for this

-----------------------------------GUZAN----------------------------------------

-----LOWTON--------OKORE---------------CLARK-------------BACUNA-------
----------------------------------SANCHEZ------------------------------------
-----------------------GIL----------------------DELPH-------------------------
--------SINCLAIR--------------------------------------------GREALISH--------
----------------------------------BENTEKE-------------------------------------

SUBS: GIVEN, HUTTON, N'ZOGBIA, WESTWOOD, CLEVERLEY, SENDEROS, WEIMANN

I don't know who else is available to play LB so I think Bacuna might have played there. I suppose N'Zog could fill in as WB. He's played there before for Newcastle I believe. But that would be too aggressive in this system.

He played there away at West Ham one year Im pretty sure and was awful. We drew 0-0 I think the same day.

Would prefer Baker coming in and Clark going to left back rather than Bacuna being thrown in there.

Would have Bacuna in ahead of Gil in your side above. Need to stop the losing run first and foremost.

Must be a good chance of Cleverley coming back in on the left wing to help protect whoever is at left back.

He did that job ok a couple of times in games earlier in the season, Palace and Burnley away that I can remember.

don't think Baker is fit. On the break I'd much rather have Gil in that side, plus when we have the ball he poses a threat. I think last weekend he just wasn't 100% and Stoke bullied him.

The whole country were laughing their arses off, not just us.  I had texts from mates from all over the place, thanking us for sending the Geordie Nation down.  We were just lucky enough to be the ones to put the final nail in.

At least Carver'll be in good company when he's signing on the old rock 'n' roll come June, he'll probably be in the queue with about 50,000 other Shearer-obsessed twats.

More important than the team selection is Sherwood's tactics for the game. Hopefully he won't fuck up again and from the comments from Ciaran Clark today on the OS, we won't be exposed to the same stupidity of hoofing. "The training has included short, sharp work. The players are feeling the benefit of that already. We're really enjoying it. There's a good intensity there."

Win the midfield and we'll create chances and play to our strengths. Leave the midfield open again and we'll get stuffed. I really fancy us to take all three points and shock a lot of people with our overall performance. The team are certainly capable of doing it, they just need to be allowed to show how good they really are. I'm trusting Sherwood has them up for it and KMac has the experience and knowledge to bring it all together.

After such a frustrating week, I really am looking forward to the game tomorrow.

Both on loan, as is Stevens. None of them can be recalled now as far as I'm aware....

...and they're shite.

I still haven't forgiven WBA for Cropley's leg and that was best part of 40 years back

We'll  beat the barcodes, Southampton beat the boggies,  we'll then beat the boggies on Tuesday and sit one point above them at 21.45 simples.

We'll beat this shower tomorrow and wont be too far off them come the end of the season. They're an utterly craven outfit and were lucky not to be battered 8 or 9 last week.

Good man.
