So vlaar Richardson baker and Senderos definitely out and possibly Hutton and cissoko .

Would go - Lowton Clark Okore Stevens

Baker isn't out. I reckon one of Hutton or Cissokho will make it at least.

Lowton Okore Clark Cissokho/Hutton (if one makes it)

If not:

Lowton Okore Baker Clark
3 at the back ... Lowton and Delph as wingbacks?

Like someone suggested on here yesterday, I reckon either Hutton or Cissokho will make it anyway, or maybe both. It might be a bit of early mind games from Timmy.

Not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but I see Carver has said he'd be happy to see Villa go down. That should be motivation enough to beat them.

Carver told the Chronicle: “Let me tell you, I never spoke to anybody for an hour after that full-time whistle went.

“It really hurt me. I wasn’t with the football club, but it’s my club.

“That hurt me. Every time you come up against Aston Villa that stays in there.

“I remember the reaction of their fans after the game and that stays inside and will never go away.

“So every time you come against Aston Villa it’s in the back of my head.”

And on the possibility of Villa being relegated, Carver said: “It happened to us a few seasons ago and it wasn’t nice.

“It’s funny how things work out in life.”

Newcastle boss Carver: Why I’d love to see Aston Villa go down this season

It was funny at the time but this reaction makes it even funnier. Bitter old sod.

Wow, what a precious little snowflake.

Can't these loveable Geordie imbeciles realise that absolutely every team would have given Newcastle grief if they'd sent them down, yet few with such dry wit as Villa?

They got off lightly.

Goes to show you can't mock someones messiah in this day of age and get away it... I'm drawing a cartoon of Shearer kissing Niall Quinn right now and I fully expect not to see out the weekend.

We need the point to stop the rot and regain some composure. I'd like to see us play solid and aggressive, wind the touchy darlings up and hit them on the break.

Even the manager's like that, for god's sake. I suppose they don't realise that it's exactly this kind of cheek-dampening whingebaggery which is why we all laughed at them so much, and why anyone and everyone would have done the same.

Carver acts like an absolute moron, so I suppose it's kind of expected.

I haven't got a problem with Carver,
We took the piss when they were relegated
They will take the piss back if we go down, there is no point getting all precious about it,
That's the way it is and that's the way it should be

I suspect that the Sunderland Echo quite enjoyed printing an article in which they can get away with the following:

Quote
A series of banners were unfurled in the home end, with several fans well prepared for the occasion.

Among them was one which read, ‘Who’s your next Messiah, Ant or Dec?’

Another simply said, ‘Sob on the Tyne’.
