Since Southampton has not been good. How much of this can be put down to Sherwood. Transfers in and out - surely no one is going to say he had a free hand. Our best 3 players sold, others coming in which were not his picks. Not so much the Southampton game, don't forget Ipswich got absolutely hammered by the Villa a week before they won the cup - its the fact that we peaked in the Everton game two weeks before Southampton (we didnt play well the week before at home to West Ham but won).Sherwood won at Tottenham, Sunderland and beat the Olbion twice (okay both a bit fortunate). A lot of grey areas.
The wheels came off for Sherwood with the Southampton game last season. He got so thoroughly trounced by Koeman in the battle of wits. It was shocking. One of the most moronically naive managerial performances ever. Now granted there was an element of misfortune in as much as Southampton seemed to score from every attack over a 20 minute period, but throughout the whole game the world and his wife could see we were getting buggered senseless by them playing over our high line and sending runners behind. The fact Sherwood couldn't react in any way to that, or seemingly even identify that problem, said it all about him. Absolutely thick as fucking fuck. And every game since was bloody dreadful. Chancer. He makes Redknapp look like a tactical genius.
Sherwood came in and motivated Lambert's players until the new manager bounce lost it's effect.Garde has had to come in to work with Sherwood's players.

The trouble with kids that go off the rails and are given in to, it takes a long time to correct.
