Good man Tim! now get yourself a job at a lower league team and get your tactics sorted to go with your enthusiasm and come back as a better manager.

There's a lot of paul ince about sherwood and a lot of former players.  They'd rather not work than learn their trade in the lower leagues.
It'd be nice if Sherwood proved me wrong and took the swindon job.

His farewell statement was at least gracious. I've got no problem with him now he's gone.

Do you know where I can see the statement?

Quote
"I am very disappointed that I will not be able to carry on in my role as manager of Aston Villa," said Sherwood on Monday, in a statement released through the League Managers' Association.
"I knew when I took on the role that it would be a big challenge, but it proved to be one I greatly enjoyed and I know I have learned a lot from this experience.
"Obviously, the initial priority was to stay in the Premier League, but beating Liverpool in the FA Cup semi at Wembley and then leading the team out for the Final was an achievement and experience that I will treasure for the rest of my career.
"I'd like to thank my coaching staff and the staff throughout the club for their dedication, the Villa fans for their passionate support and the players, who gave everything during my time at the club.
"I wish the club all the best for the rest of the season and indeed for the future."
I have sympathy with sherwood . The problems at the club lie much deeper and even now TS is gone the serious underlying problems will remain.

They just sound like words cobbled together by his solicitor whilst negotiating his pay off. If it was Sherwood that wrote it Tim Sherwood would refer to Tim Sherwood in the third person.

I don't feel any sympathy for him whatsoever.

Yeah, somehow can't imagine they are Timmy's true thoughts. Not that it really matters now.

Where Sherwood is concerned? No, none whatsoever.

Why can't people (e.g. non fans, pundits, etc.) understand it's possible that yes Tim needed to go but we are also rotten behind the scenes? We are being run to repeatedly finish 11th to 17th, which is shit. But we weren't going to achieve that this year with Tim in the hot seat.

Me neither. Maybe I could have if after one of the many defeats he could have said he'd got it wrong instead of blaming his own players.
