Thank McGrath. Quick and decisive. Whoever replaces him will have time to turn things around. I just hope we make a sensible, and at least ambitious decision. Fox has got to interview more than just one candidate too, and we shouldn't just be looking at unemployed managers either. This is the clubs Premier League status on a knife edge. By no means should we fall into the trap Fulham did and started binning managers at every opportunity, or getting managers who are past it, or unsuited to the Prem (Magath).
Moyes I suspect will be the favourite. Rodgers will be high on the bookies too. I would fancy both to keep us up and improve us. My worry is finding that balance over what we want long term, and what we desperately need short term. I'm all for installing a philosphy into the club and finding a way of playing, which a good foreign coach would undoubtedly try to do, but if they have no Premier League experience already, it's a hell of an ask. Moyes for example wouldn't be fantastic long term. He'd take us to a point and hit a brick wall. That said if that brick wall is being a top 10 club consistently, I would take that. However, for this season I would fancy him to keep us up and instill a bit of solidity.
