The one thing I would hope in all of this is that whatever contract he signed (and indeed the next manager's contract too) has a performance related aspect to it.If the board are sitting on their arses dithering about change in order to save themselves some cash in the shorrt term then they deserve the pain of a gazillion paper cuts.

How is this any different? No manager would sign. Contract like that. Why should they?I would think that there are plenty of managers sufficient faith in their own ability that would happily take an incentivised contract.

I wouldn't bother with Gregg Evans' support of Sherwood. A fourth columnist if ever there was one.
By compete does he mean sit back idly against a team who are a shadow of what they were and not test them at all. How lucky we are.
I've just seen his interview on the BBC website, and the bloke is clueless. Well done to whoever the female reporter is for asking some good direct questions about individual mistakes and fans wanting him out. Sherwood is hopelessly out of his depth and totally deluded.
did i hear the twat say 'i dont feel sorry for myself, perhaps i should'fuck me what about us
