Let's not forget that Rodgers was not only shit at Liverpool he was dire at Reading.

He then did a super job at Swansea getting them promoted playing very nice football and securing a 11th place finish when most people they'd be going down.

And let's not forget that he managed possibly the most exciting attacking team of PL era who were one game away from landing the title.
Let's not forget he did a very good job and kept Watford up when they were in a lot of trouble and heading to League 1. He only spent a few months at Reading which admittedly wasn't great.

I find it very frustrating to hear people say 'give him till Christmas'.
Having been to all the home games under Sherwood and both Wembley appearances coupled with the live games shown on the at Southampton and Leicester how much more proof do we need that this guy is way out of his depth?
There are a few managers out of work or eminently get table who could use this squad way better so why let him damage us even more?
If these rumours about him having two games to save his job then great,if he wins them then what a relief and how vital those points could be.
If he loses them them then hopefully we'll get somebody in with half a clue.

He then told that same group of players on the eve of the final that most of them wouldn't be here next season. He picked Nzogbia over Gabby and Hutton in the final too and did nothing during one of the most humiliating one sided finals in years.Never felt so low as a Villa fan coming home after that game.

See, to me, this kinda underlines the cluelessness. Like his predecessor, he found something that worked, then decided to pretend he was a football manager, and fucked it all up. This was before the end of last season, so the blame can't be laid at the door of those since departed. He either can't remember how, or, worse, pig-headedly refuses, to go back to what he did when he first arrived.

I agree with this.  He managed to get us playing some great stuff so I cannot understand why he doesn't try to replicate that system.  Because he can't, makes me think he is none the wiser which of his changes last season rejuvenated the players.  Was it simply Benteke clicking into one of his purple patches?

If he does get the shove then Moyes has to be the man. I'm sure he'd jump at the chance of returning to the PL, especially for a decent sized club. He's only in Spain to rebuild his rep.

To those that say he doesn't play great football. At this stage, I don't care. If he could tighten us up at the back and secure safety then bring it on. Looking at the bigger picture, when MON's team were neck and neck with Everton I recall many an entertaining game so I think some of the boring stuff was a myth. Moyes had a system (which is already a head start) and played to his squad's strengths. As for Rodger, it could go either way for me. I think he can build something over time like Swansea but I am less convinced he could turn things around quickly, which is what we need.

There were rumours he'd been fired after their last match, and considering they play 3rd and 5th in their next three games it might be that he is very much made available.

If he's such a fan why didn't he go out and get him after he'd been fired by Man U? In fact Moyes joined Real Sociedad in November 2014. We had just lost 6 straight at that point heading into the West Ham game on November 8th. Surely the stars were all aligned. Moyes free to join a new club, Lambert shitting the bed impressively just begging (literally according to him) to be fired. Yet here we are.

Think Moyes wanted to go abroad before getting another prem job and probably communicated that to a few. Just to stay off the radar a bit after Man. United disaster.

We made McLeish one of the most highly paid managers in Europe. I doubt very much it was money that would have put us off. I'm sure if it came down to cash and we wanted him we'd have found a compromise.
