Sorry I thought it warranted its own thread, perhaps not with it being the mail.

but an effective manager doesn't have to be likeable; they have to be effective. Leicester's trajectory over 2015 as a whole ( i.e. the back end of last season and the start of this one) is an upward curve, thanks in no small part to Nigel. Is he a cnut? yes. Is he an effective cnut ? Most certainly.
I wasn't suggesting his c***ery disqualified him as manager based on his abilities, just that that's the only sort of question I'd want to hear someone associated with B6 ask about him.

I actually think it only worked for Leicester in the end because that was very much "his squad" that had largely been together for a few years. They'd have run through brick walls for him.

I think if you parachuted him into our situation his passive aggressive approach to people and meat and potatoes approach to football would not be a happy experience for anyone, least of all us fans.
I have nothing credible to add other than, whoever our new manager is, this is how they must be unveiled!

So I presume the author of that is one of Timmy's media mates who are now starting a campaign to try and protect his "reputation" that they have built up and passing the buck to the club.  He didn't seem to be complaining when they were signing in the summer.

So the exciting looking young chaps from abroad are not Tim's signings, but Ruddy and Bunn are and he's annoyed because we never signed all the old Spurs cast offs.
Maybe if would have left Vertout and Ayew in the side from the beginning they may be up to speed by now, instead of this scatter gun approach of tactics and change of players.

If it's Pearson I want to be parked on the Holte End roof in a machine gun nest to take him out Dirty Dozen style and prevent him reaching his target. (apologies if I've got the WWII film reference wrong)

Shoot me for linking the heil

Well apart from having to now disinfect my hard drive after succumbing to temptation and following the link I couldn't take my eyes of this line.

Quote from: Wouldn't wipe my arse on it
It is believed Idrissa Gana and Jordan Ayew were cumulative calls.

I've read it several times now and haven't got a bleeding clue what it means.

There is absolutely no substance to the claims made in the headlines of that Heil article. Sherwood may be currently clusterfucking big time, but that article is a crock of shit.

I wonder if this is all leading to a war of words to protect the club AND Sherwood as something has already been agreed? Rather than the petty arguments though, just sack him and be done with it. Move on but stop skimping on bringing in shit, cheap managers.

It is starting to have the whiff of something which is going to come to a head sooner rather than later.

How on earth are those players meant to feel reading that, I wonder?

Strangely, it isn't those players who have failed to live up to billing, it is the gobshite of a manager.

I hope this all ends soon.

So we are running the club just like Liverpool but without the money.Guys with computers are now running football clubs owned by American's.
We will soon hear that's why Sunderland have no manager and that would be the 3 yank owned clubs in the league.

There's nothing wrong with that approach to signing players - all clubs use computers and statistical analysis to sign players these days, and have done for a fair while now.

The Moneyball thing is really just a lazy cliche to throw in there.

Interesting that it says Sherwood wanted Townsend, Adebayor and Lennon. Looking at those three, and at who we got instead, I'll go with what we got every single time.
