Again with that quote, I wonder if he stops and thinks about this shit before he says it?

A mini pre-season? Why is that needed in terms of fitness just six weeks or so after the end of actual pre season?

What were they doing over the summer?

Very early days but I reckon Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank could turn out to be a decent manager, done great stuff at Burton.

He doesnt think. So he is perfect match for our Senior Leadership.

1st Class people hire 1st Class People in the Working Environment.

2nd Class people hire 3rd Class People. We have had an awful lot of the latter over the last 5 years.

All down to fitness apparently

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood:

We weren't good enough. I think both teams were average at best.

"A draw would have been a fair result, but the situation is getting a lot worse. There's ifs, buts and maybes, but that's why we're near the bottom of the league.

"I can give the fans assurances that we will work as hard as we can. The fans want to be entertained and see the team win.

"I don't think we've got a squad fit enough to play the way I want to play.

We'll use the international break to get a min pre-season into some of them."
Yes. Get them running up and down the Lickey's for a week.
That'll turn everything round and turn us into a team of winners.

Oh, and welcome to the 1950's.

There's a saying that if you build up your strengths your weaknesses can become unimportant. He needs to be clear what our strengths are first though.

A great big fuck off no to anyone still cutting their teeth in the lower echelons of the game, or someone with a couple of years experience with a smaller club.

People continuously come unstuck by looking at our record over the last decade and see years of skulking around the arse end of table with a 3 year cash driven blip and underestimate the size of the job.

We need someone with bollocks the size of wrecking balls and a record of at least competence in a big club with huge expectations.

My personal choice would be to see if Frank de Boer at Ajax fancies us being "the next challenge in a top European league" he's occasionally been talking about over the last few months.

"the next challenge in a top European league"

First time I've heard the Championship described thus...

Moyes is the ideal manager for the job. The similarities with Everton are uncanny.

Whether he'd effectively want to do the same job again is probably the biggest question, but if he ever wants a shot of managing a Champions League club again, then he is going to have to go back to what got him the job in the first place. The opportunity to manage one of the biggest clubs in the land again is a big and enticing prospect.

We're a siren on the rocks for many managers, but that is what will always set us apart from Mickey Mouse flyby nighters, as many may think they can turn us around, but the job is universally too big weighed up against their ability. The difference in scope and scale of us compared to provincial no hopers in Norwich was there for all to see, but get it right and you've got a monster club on your hands and the next club you go to will be playing in the Misnomer League.

Would you actually trust Fox or Lerner to come up with somebody like that?..

We have Bob Bradley written all over us...

It's unbelievable the moronic nonsense he comes out with.  Apart from the two League Cup games, we've had one game a week, and we're already had one two week international break between the Sunderland and Leicester games.  It's not that they're not fit enough to play the way you want you brain-dead chancer, it's that nobody has a clue what that way is, other than it being shit.

I'd love Moyes but expect Newcastle to sack McLaren and go for him. Sunderland will part the ways with Dick and get Big Sam. We on the other hand will stick with Dimmy and cement a place in the bottom 3.
