The stats aren't getting any better even if the football's more exciting at times. A loss in both games will make his position so much more difficult.

Disagree, I don't think it'll happen but say we lost the next 2 I think sherwood would lose a huge swathe of the fan base.

TS will lose a lot of goodwill amongst fans if we fail to win both games. We are overdue a win and 3pts in the league after failing miserably to beat Sunderland and Leicester...both TS and the players will know this more than any body.

Similarly, getting knocked out of the cup by Blose is not something that will go down well particularly with the fans...and certainly wont be forgotten (ever) by Blose fans.

Win both games and TS writes himself into a very small insignificant part of our local derby history, and the misdemeanours of recent results can be put behind us as the team continues to develop and progress.

Yeah I've been trying to get over last weekend all week...I keep trying to tell myself that we played well for an hour, but the other voice in my head tells me that a football match is 90 minutes...and no matter how many times I try to convince myself, you dont bring on a forward (or two!) when you're losing control in midfield.

Even if we forget the mistake that cost us an away point at Palace (because TS can't be blamed for that), we still dropped 2 points against Sunderland and 3 points against Leicester. How much can be blamed on TS for those dropped points is open to debate, but ultimately his team have failed to close out games from winning positions.

Personally I know I'll be fuckin fuming if we dont get 3pts tomorrow...and I expect a win against Blose because defeat at home against those wankers would be unacceptable.

Indeed. we are incredibly forgiving. Particularly when we think there is something to the manager.

If we are in the bottom 3 by Christmas then I think the fan base might turn. Honestly I think we would be rightfully regarded as a laughing stock if we started hounding our own new manager in bloody September. See Newcastle.

With the number of new players brought in and the difference of our style of play being so far from the turgid rubbish of the previous two managers a hard start to the season was inevitable. It was always going to be a hard season and this part was always going to be the hardest. Fans need to appreciate that it is the establishment of an upward curve of performance that is the big picture not the winning or losing of madhouse local derbies which by their very nature are volatile and totally unpredictable.
