So what's Ray Wilkins role in all of this then?

Why doesn't he offer his vast knowledge to TS when it's 2-0? "I wouldn't bring on a striker here Tim, bring on Veretout and kill the game".

Or is he just another Phil Neal who nods and agrees with everything?

I can't believe how livid I still am, my 12 year old son asked why he was replacing a midfielder with a supposed striker when we were 2-0 up. If a twelve year old can see it why the fuck can't he or the coaching staff?

He needs time.  He has bought in what, 11 players, and it's going to take time to know what his best team is.  He hasn't been helped by injuries either.  Very bad end to last year but he got us over the line and deserves a chance at turning this club around. Way too soon to be getting on his back in my view.  I actually prefer his press con attitude to Lamberts who would have spouted some shite about "we go again".  You can guarantee the players will have been given a serious rollicking after today's capitulation.

I agree bad subs today but the players are more to blame for me.  A number of them have been making the same basic and costly errors for the last 5 years, regardless of manager, and it just rubs off on the new ones.

It's frustrating seeing Sanchez get MOM against Brazil and then get bossed by a Leicester midfield.  We could do with bringing a shrink in to sort the players heads out.

Sanchez wasn't bossed until the last half hour. He started off extremely well and broke up most of their attacking moves.

Sadly, he is still running out of steam 60 or 70 minutes into the game, and this is a worry. I doubt being the only player with physical presence in a powder puff midfield helped matters, particularly when Ranieri told his players to rough us up at half time.

Impossible to know if he's either.  He could very well have suggested that we bring Veretout on, and for all we know Sherwood ignored him.  Unless you're sat within earshot of the bench, I guess we'll never know.

I didn't see much of Wilkins Reggie Kray seemed to be doing a lot of directing as usual.

Very concerning that his substitutions were so significant on the end result, and not for the first time. Those arms signals were a joke.

We were really good first half. Great to have players that are good at keeping the ball. Shouldn't have lost the game. Have to put most of the blame on the manager.

Worse than the 4-4 in the 90s.

Adebayor released by Tottenham. Villa bound? We could do with him.

No matter how crap our strikers are Adebayor is a piss taking twat with no heart and even less spirit and fight. Fuck him, I'd rather struggle than beg a millionaire, nutter mercenary to please take pity on us and sign.

Austin in January for me. Might have to pay the best part of £15m though because whoever is struggling is going to want him

Agreed

Adebayour is nuts. All that "Waiting for a sign from God to tell me it was the right move" nonsense. Pretty much exactly what we do not want now.

Just one thought. We all rightly blame Sherwood

But it's definitely the case that Guzan's mistake cost us today. I felt the game had quietened a bit

And with three minutes to go, if Sinclair keeps on side when Westwood (yes him) pulls that punt out of the air and plays him through, were probably all saying 'tim's a mad bastard for attacking so much but I love him'.

He did fuck up though.

It was like parody Sherwood today. Set up a very brave team, the plan worked, the players looked relaxed and were playing for him. When we go two-up, against a run of play in which the opposition manager has (yet again!) flummoxed Tim with a half-time sub, Tim brings off our best player for someone who looks like he won a raffle prize to play in a Premier League match, brings on a big lumpy lump who does nothing, and continues to abandon the midfield as we get slaughtered everywhere.
Completely this.

No doubt, Guzan's mistake cost us, but 25 minutes to go and winning 2-0, it takes something extra special to be at 2-2 in the first place. Pathetic.

The last 30 minutes was relentless one way traffic. It was like the Alamo on steroids.
