I hope he learns quickly from mistakes.
I think its already abundantly clear that he doesn't.

Sherwood has to realise he doesn't have to play his signings, no matter how expensive they were. He needs to make sure we win, first and foremost, preferably with a bit of style. Ayew looks like a complete dud. It's okay, every manager makes mistakes in the transfer market but ffs, if the player looks like he'd be more at home in the lower leagues, don't bring him on the pitch at 2-0 up with 30 minutes left to play and be surprised when you end up losing.

The 16 millions spent for Ayew and Gestede spoke volumes, but after seeing the substitutions that he made with Leicester, the way he conceded the midfield to Ranieri, with the useless Ayew that voul not even keep the ball up,  I have definitely understood  why Spurs sacked him.

To be fair to Spurs they didn't need to take a risk on such an inexperienced manager. They have aims for top 6 and want a decent bet with someone who they think they can trust. We have taken another gamble with Sherwood, he's got no track record, he's learning on the job, it may pay off in the long run, right now he's got big weaknesses.

Sack him Villa! Sack him now!

He's obviously the type who's always going to blame the players, or individual mistakes for every defeat and conveniently ignore his lack of even the most basic tactical acumen. As soon as the second half kicked off, anyone could see we were too open. We got the second out of nowhere really, and so what does he do? Takes of Gil, which was fine as he was obviously struggling to get back and cover for Bacuna down that flank, but puts on a striker and lays out the red carpet for them!

He's another Stuart Pearce, dumb as fuck and nowhere near management material, he's got to go!!

Don't be ridiculous.

I agree, over the top, Ormy. We lost and that's a sickener, but we played well in the first half. We need to settle Gestede in, Ayew too.

It's the midfield that irks me. Gueye was missed today, and I can't wait for Veretout to come good. Sanchez and Westwood, well they're like the chuckle brothers-do they know that in football it's not a crime to go forward? Sanchez never seems to progress...arghhhh. Time for bed.

It was his team and tactics that made us the much better team in the first half. Yes he fucked up, but I think more time is needed. It's annoying at the moment, but you can't want him sacked for ballsing up. He's still learning as well, he just needs to do it quicker, it one of his back room staff need to tell him, and if he won't listen, keep fucking on at him until he does change it. Fat ****** Sam was on 5Live saying Sherwood is very much a "it's my way of doing things and that's that", which is good in some ways, but not always the case.

What's ridiculous is being two nil up and losing three goals in 20 minutes...to Leicester. While I agree the new players need time to settle etc., can we really afford to persevere with an inexperienced manager, while he learns 'on the job', and then realise he's just a busted flush, when it's all too late? Given our last two results, aren't some alarm bells ringing?

Alarm bells have been ringing since we were first linked to him, but that doesn't mean that he should be sacked on the back of a couple of bad results. Any more than a few good results didn't make him Alex Ferguson last season.

If we beat the Albion next week he'll probably be given a three year contract extension.

My issue is that he clearly isn't stupid. He sets up well and in every game this season we have had spells of looking good.the issue is this arrogance of going for it more when it's time to take a pragmatic approach. He wont lay up in the middle of tge battle. How many times he has to find the drink before he learns may define us from being top half or bottom 3.

His management will always be undermined if he cannot get the basics right. Today, and on several occasions this season already, he has got the basics very wrong.

It's not good enough. He deserves time but if the piss poor game management continues, he needs to go by Xmas.

Worrying times.

But then in all the games this season we have been a decent striker from being out of sight. I hope Wilkins and he learn their damned lessons fast.

Silly sub at 2-0, Gil in fairness probably dosen't have legs to play 90 minutes atm but bring Ayew on dear me, Veretout to lock down central midfield or even to put on Clark would've been more logical. We still had Gabby, Grealish and Sinclair as counter attack options.

Baffling as really the 2nd goal came in the spell of heavy Leicester pressure so you can't say we weren't warned.
