I remember Bertram Muffet who made model aeroplanes from milk bottle tops.

I said MON should have been sacked the season before he left
I said benteke was a good signing
I said that the General was only going to be bad news

I also said that Rob Edwards was going to be one of our best right backs of all time
I also said the Brad Guzan would never be a number 1
I also said paul lambert was the manager for us before he was

This is my favourite....

Congratulations, you fucking idiots, you've added another embarrassing entry to your list of shit appointments.

We really have given up.

I thought it was a shit appointment, yes.

It's probably worth pointing out that we're still very much in the relegation mix at the moment, so I won't be cutting myself a nice slice of any humble pie just yet.

I wasn't having a go at you Paulie.  It was just genuinely my favourite - I loved the tone of the rant.  I felt exactly the same at the time too.

I thought Collymore Savo and Yorke would win us the league.

The first 12 pages of this thread are priceless. And in fairness many of the doom posts could still be proved right in time.

Either Cadbury's or Fry's; I can't remember which, used to make a Tiffin bar.  Bits of biscuit and raisins in squares of chocolate.  By the description I'd guess it was Cadbury's.  Yum.

I think out of sheer desperation a lot of us hoped Ireland would became the player he promised to be given the right opportunity.

I thought Darren Byfield would turn into a 20 goal a season striker for us.

And said when they were both starting out that Danny Cadamarteri would have a better career than Michael Owen.

I had high hopes for Neale Cooper, turned out he was a doctor's delight.

I thought David Hughes would go on to have a great career with us.
I also thought Gustavo Bartelt was going to be quality...purely because he was Argentinian. I pictured someone akin to Batistuta turning up at Villa park and banging in the goals.
