I hope the tactics Tim moniker that the people who did not want him at Spurs will be dispelled soon. Second half against QPR and Swansea at home I think he set up wrong, but overall he has had a clear game plan for every game, with a different tactical focus. The way he clearly out thought Rodgers with the 2 withdrawn 10's in Grealish and N'Zogbia and using Benteke from the left drifting in completely negating the before match Skrtel crap was excellent.

He also got the better of the much vaunted Pochettino last week too. Which would undoubtedly have felt "sweet as a fakkin nut" for Sherwood. For a manager, despite having only been around a short time, who has been occasionally dismissed as an old school touchline maniac with all the subtlety of a hammer to the skull, Sherwood has bested two of the apparent new breed of forward thinking, tactically philosophical managers in a week. Not to say those two managers don't deserve credit for what they've done, but Sherwood will hopefully get a little more credit in the near future for his brain as opposed to simply being seen as a grenade with the pin pulled out. Winning the FA Cup would be a start. At the very least there is an acknowledgement that he's doing a good job here and is effective at what he does. But he'll soon be getting more respect for some of his game plans. He's got it right more than he's got it wrong.
Just look at the transformance in Benteke, TC and Jack. Tim's proving to be extremely influential in how to use certain players. Brilliant, nice one Tim.

I never really understood the stick he got at Spurs.Yes I know they got hammered by the likes of City and Chelsea when he was there but this is Spurs we're talking about, a club that's had like us a massive inferioity complex against the best teams in the league over the last 20 years. AVB's last game overall was a 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool. He won plenty of games there, scored plenty of goals, got Adebayor firing which has been beyond most managers including Pochettino and they finished in a respectable 6th which is where they'll probably finish this year. That was without Gareth Bale in the squad btw which was a luxury Redknapp and AVB had.So yeah the derision to me was strange which a few on here latched onto when he was appointed.
He's clearly learning and has a lot about him. He's got something inherently likeable about him.
