Early days but I might have been very wrong about Sherwood. We are actually fun to watch now which is an absolutely incredible turnaround.

And involved in player hugs.   Reckon ts has employed for the man management' factor

He is the goalkeeping coach, was a keeper for Spuds in the 80's
Redknapp took him into spurzz.
He's a great team man and players like him

Anyone else noticed how vocal and "present" Tony Parks is?

Seems very intense and involved on the touchline.

I noticed that.  Sherwood just looked at him though as if to say 'fack it we scored daint we?!'

I wondered who he was.  Looks like a Kray twin.  Ushering the fans off last week as well.

I definitely would not fuck with him.

I saw after one of our goals against Albion last week, Sherwood was bouncing around and Parks was stood next to him, saliva rolling down his face, staring intently at some indiscretion he'd spotted on the pitch, like if someone had just told Ronnie Kray his mom was a slapper.

I noticed that as well. We had just scored and yet he was clearly angry at some lapse a few moments earlier. Looks like a perfectionist, nothing wrong with that. Today 4 up is the first time I have seen him crack a smile.

I was sat behind the dugout today, parks was up on the touch line almost as much as sherwood. Robson popped out occasionally as did KMac.
No sign of Petrov though.

Curious did you happen to hear what Poyet was saying to his players during the injury break in the first half? On TV it sounds a lot like "no wide, do not go wide" which would be strange as fletcher in particular seemed to be getting joy against Bacuna when he went wide.

Fletcher is a centre forward though surely?

For sure he is. A 12 million quid one. Loool :)

It was just odd if thats what he said. Because it means Fletcher & other players had been ignoring him up to that point. Considering Sunderland played arguably much worse after Poyets little team talk I was curious.

Don't know mate , chatting with a few SAFC fans today they were furious poyet was playing fletcher on the wing.
They remind me of villa under Lambert. A great club with a poor manager and tactician.

Funny you should mention that.  I was watching MOTD and thought that Parks in his glasses looked like Ronnie Kray.

Cheers for the info. Yeah totally agree. Likeable club & fans. They deserve better. Amazing how its like a cloud has lifted around our club. I couldn't be happier :)

Love his positivity, passion and honest comments.
God our club has been held back by the last 3 progressively worse managers.
We are alive again.
