Because one booking from.a 2 game ban....and we have no defenders.

But there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind we would have been relegated if lambert had stayed. He hasn't just bought in manager bounce. He's bought in some tactical know how and basically got these players believing in themselves and each other. And that it's okay to score a goal. Look at that attacking line up today. That told me he was saying 'we are going to win this, we're your problem.' Imagine today under lambert. Dour defensive crap designed to achieve a 0-0. We've still got a hell of a battle but he's given us a chance.Lambert went out not to lose a game and failed miserably, Sherwood sets up his team to win the game. Have to say I was surprised with his selection today, but he knew Sunderland were in the doldrums and went for the jugular. The players have obviously taken his attitude on board and are loving it. We have possibly the best old style centre forward in the league yet we played negative football

The good thing is, we don't know how good this Villa team can get. We might get something from the likes of Man United, Spurs and Man City, my expectations are different after the last couple of weeks and I honestly feel we may just pick up points against sides we wouldn't have done if we hadn't changed the Manager.

Anyone else noticed how vocal and "present" Tony Parks is?Seems very intense and involved on the touchline.
