He seems to be doing an OK job so far, and he seems likeable in many ways, but let's be totally honest, he probably says a lot more than he should at times.
He does say too much, and he always rises to a reporter's bait when it comes to Spurs. I'm also far from certain he's the right man long-term for many reasons. That said, he's got two jobs this season - keep us up, and win the Cup. So far, so good.

TV this is something I asked when we appointed him, but what do we reckon "doing well" for Sherwood is over the next 2 seasons? If we stay up for me it is consolidating us as mid table and not in any relegation trouble next season (being on around 33-36 points by this stage and finishing around the 45-50 point mark) and then kicking on and getting us into the top 10 the season after, provided he is given the same funding level as Lambert was.
I am far from convinced that we will avoid relegation. My personal stance is that I would prefer to go down with Sherwood than with Lambert. The labours of Hercules lie ahead and the Villa stables have to be cleaned a shovelful at a time.
If he does the business, he'll be here long term. And he'll deserve to be. We've had experienced managers the past few seasons. What did McLeish bring, or Houllier or Lambert do or bring that is so much better than Sherwood?
