Sherwood had a short but successful spell at Spurs, he lost his job because they wanted someone with a higher profile.
Honestly believe the players had given up on lambert and were not giving 100% for the cause , inexcusable but somewhat understandable after the shocking man management and inept tactics etc of the last 2.5 years . I'm hoping now (even if only short term) they will be galvanised into performing to the limits of their capacity, played in their correct positions and sent out with a clear, positive brief with confidence gradually restored .

Shocking. I am beginning to wish Sherwood had been appointed sooner as I still think we have left it too late. Saturday will be a major factor in determining our survival in the top flight.

I'm hoping now (even if only short term) they will be galvanised into performing to the limits of their capacity, played in their correct positions and sent out with a clear, positive brief with confidence gradually restored . Somebody fished out an interview with Martin Laursen from last week, where he said he'd seen some of our recent games where it was obvious that several players weren't giving it their all.I'd guess most of us have at some time worked for someone who is so poor at their job that regardless of how good you are at your own job, and your own professional pride, at some point your own performance starts to drop off, as the desire to work for the manager just isn't there any more.Once you've lost faith in the manager it's difficult to get it back and the only remedy is either a new job or a new manager.Despite some individuals giving cause to doubt it, footballers are human too.For what it's worth, I think short term, just the boost of a new manager with a bit of enthusiasm will be enough to get this squad over the line. There really is some dross in this league and our squad is definitely one of the better ones in the bottom half so even some half decent performances should get the job done. I wouldn't be surprised if we're wondering how long he'll last by time we get to Christmas though.

Minimum of 15 points is a very tough ask for us if you put it in the context of our season so far.

I have to agree with this, 15 points is a massive ask.BUT....this squad has massively underperformed, particularly over the last few months, so you would hope that it won't take too much to get them playing somewhere near their potential, which 'should' be enough to see off some of those teams around us.
