DOL was the worst for me.  No passion for us whatsoever.  Always just stood there like a broken lamp post.

I don't really get the "looks impassive" thing. Didn't Saunders used to sit there impassive most of the time?

I don't think it is necessarily a sign of a chancer or bad manager.
Agreed and he showed passion when he wanted to e.g. running across the field at the sty.
Probably his greatest moment with us.

Of course he knew the cameras were on him.   The media will love him and stop the Villa piss taking.   It's how reputations are built.

He wasnt my choice either but the second half performance said it all, we needed change. Sherwood knows he has a job on his hands

Spot on. Equally I don't think it was contrived.

It's irrelevant, isn't it. Look at Jose Mourinho - sometimes he goes mental (running down the Old Trafford touchline), sometimes he just stands there looking almost bored. Pep used to go mad, now does nothing. I don't think Ancelotti has ever actually celebrated a goal in his life, even when he scored them. Fergie was pretty demonstrative. It doesn't really matter, like you say, but it can sometimes be endearing.

It doesn't off course but bear in mind we are going from a man who couldn't inspire or motivate you to take a piss if your bladder was bursting, so anything resembling a smile or a bit of confidence is going to be received very well. It won't determine whether or not he is a successful manager but it is nice to see a little bit of life and emotion from the new manager.

I'd take a dump in every corner. "But officer I'm trying to help them lift the curse, Barry's piss didn't work"!

Someone said that we hadn't been classy by openly chasing him while Lambert was still manager.

Well, the three least classy clubs in the country are Chelsea and the two Manchesters, with Real Madrid & Bayern Munich the joint European Champions. We've been too nice for too long.

A proper **** Dave. He broke me as I gave up my season ticket in his last season.

Just watching the film 'The International' - never seen it before so the fact that the assassin is called Timothy Sherwood seems very relevant.

I don't usually as my posts reflect. Seriously though nearly 50000 posts, don't you have anything more productive to do?

Yes, I've got lots of things I do, not that it's any of your business.

Don't you have anything better to do than coming on here, telling people they're wankers, and asking whether they have anything more productive to do?
Fantastic number PW. Can you save your 50000th to describe our win in the Cup Final at Wembley?

Been a good day.   I am going to bed now and leave you with a conundrum.   How many football players do you know other than our very own Timothy who have forests named after them?  i will get the ball rolling with Dixie Dean.
