DOL was the worst for me.  No passion for us whatsoever.  Always just stood there like a broken lamp post.

He got me with his celebration of the second goal. I'm fickle as fuck, me.

Same here.

We gave him a good start to his future career. Keep it up chap. There have been one too many chancers recently!

I have been so angry at myself allowing a series of provocative managers get to me in the last few years I must confess seeing our new manager celebrating our goals lifted a substantial load of guilt from this fan.

I used to prefer managers like Gregory and Little who had some sort of connection with the club - it always seemed like it meant more when we scored.

His celebrations were certainly a nice touch and a statement of intent from him.

It seems as though he means business.

I hope you have a very successful time with us Mr Sherwood.

I don't really get the "looks impassive" thing. Didn't Saunders used to sit there impassive most of the time?

I don't think it is necessarily a sign of a chancer or bad manager.

It's irrelevant, isn't it. Look at Jose Mourinho - sometimes he goes mental (running down the Old Trafford touchline), sometimes he just stands there looking almost bored. Pep used to go mad, now does nothing. I don't think Ancelotti has ever actually celebrated a goal in his life, even when he scored them. Fergie was pretty demonstrative. It doesn't really matter, like you say, but it can sometimes be endearing.

He certainly wears his heart on his sleeve which is rather refreshing.

Fuck it. Early days, but I like the passion and the no nonsense attitude. If he can bring in three players in the summer, we'll be a decent side next season.

I didn't like Turner selling off, correction, giving away the crown jewels and getting crap results and I didn't like Venglos and Lambert purely based on results. I didn't like DOL or Houllier's detachment and attitude. I didn't like TSM's defeatism. I don't actually remember disliking McNeil. I think I was numb inside at that point.

The celebrations didn't get me as they looked like he knew the cameras were on him. Liked it though when he said Fcuk when something untoward happened on the pitch!

Agreed and he showed passion when he wanted to e.g. running across the field at the sty.
