Frankly I'd be more worried if we appointed a manger most on here were happy with. Give the geezer a chance!!I was against the appointment of Lambert - does that mean I get to moan about Sherwood?Really? Or was it more that you were more cautious or sceptical than others? I don't recall you ever being outwardly against him.

Let's get behind the bloke.
I was wondering whether he might bring Brad Friedel into his backroom team, and still a decent back-up keeper. He's liked and respected at Villa, and seems to be level-headed and measured; which might curb Sherwood's rough edges.

I for one will give him a chance.Welcome Tim.

Quote from: avfcpg on February 14, 2015, 03:32:04 PMVery much an unknown quantity. He only managed for 28 games at Spurs, but won at least 50% of them. But he's young, hungry and ambitious. He's 46 which by PL standards is not young. 28 games at Spurs was all he was allowed. I wonder how many he'll get at Villa?

Make no bones about it, we're in real danger of relegation. The fact the club have appointed a manager the majority of the supporters do not want, rate or even like is a very, very dangerous move.
4 years on and our testicles remain in the unpredictable grip of gorillas. Tony Pulis at Christmas was the decision that needed to be made.
