I know that I am a minority but I think he is a true gentleman and very good on marketing.

But totally wrong for the job he was given.

He did well on marketing department, probably he should be sided by a man of football, a figure that is still missing at Villa.

Did I imagine this or did somebody suggest that his departure from Villa was triggered by a disagreement over Lambert's future, namely he wanted to get rid and Lerner didn't?

I think Dave intimated that that was the case, or at least played a part.

In my eyes Faulkner was more like a COO that got a chance to have some say in personnel decisions. I think Tom Fox is that exact same mold of expertise.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the first chink in the eventual schism.

Meh, I'd say the McLeish and Houllier appointments were worse.

I'm referring to the "first chink" idea. I don't think Paul Lambert's job status was their first dispute.

It may not have been their first disagreement but it was, I believe, their first genuine one.

I'd never claim to be "ITK" but, as I understand it, Faulkner's departure was a surprise to him. He'd assumed he'd be off if a new owner came in but expected to stay under Lerner. What I heard didn't suggest a massive fall out.

Seems like a nice bloke and talented in marketing. The CEO was just the wrong role. Not saying Fox is better mind, we shall see on that front.

At least his departure allowed you to stop sticking up for the board at every opportunity, huh?

Bloody hell man. We get it. You got banned and you want to come here and mope about it until you get banned again. Quit with the passive aggressive bollocks and either go out in a blaze of expletive filled glory or walk stay away from the place and enjoy your life.

Seeing how far you can go needling people until a mod pulls the trigger again is really obvious.
