I know he still appears safe due to the people at the top being buffoons but if Chelsea were to humiliate us by hitting us for 5 or 6 at home on Saturday with us not scoring again then surely that would mean the end for Lambert

We say that after every match. He's bullet proof.

Two shots ROBBO, Westwood in the dying seconds. Theo Walcott' s interview after the game, mentioned the fun of the Villa fans with their ironic cheering.

I saw that quote on Twitter. I assumed it was a wind-up. Christ, that really is crap when a member of the other side is moved to comment on your shortcomings above and beyond the usual nothing platitudes.

For what it's worth, Walcott can fuck right off!

I left at 4-0, utter rubbish. The table says we are not the worst side in the league but my eyes see a different picture. Having played defensive football all season why be so open against a team who are capable of ripping teams to shreds? Clueless tactics although even that cannot excuse some of the individual performances today.

The really worrying thing for me (more worrying even than the lack of tactics, goals, etc) is the apparent lack of character in the team. There's no leadership. There's no Petrov, no Barry. Fuck, there's not even a Richard Dunne. Who on earth is going to get us out of this mess?

Watched it on the telly and all I could hear was the Villa fans, and the rest of the football world sniggering.

What we really need is a biggish name former player or manager (Big Ron or someone of his ilk) to go after the three amigos in the national media.  They need to point out that Lerner's disinterest is bordering on negligent, Fox's comments are bordering on delusional and to point out that the unwanted records Lambert has amassed during his time at the club are more than enough of an excuse to part ways with him.  As Dave W has pointed out previously, Mat Kendrick was moved on from the Evening Mail because he had the temerity to suggest that Lambert should have been sacked at the end of last season, so it's obvious that the local media aren't going to go after them.

He is going nowhere.

These idiots are building a team based on helping him. That's how fucking stupid they are.

If you were TSM2 would you resign and sign away £3m... They can't/won't after the comments this week. What a mess.

He'd be owed 3.5 years salary so probably closer to £7m pay off

You don't know that. We have no idea what the terms of Lambert's contract are.

I don't care about his pain. I believe he's feeling it, I really do, professionally. I also care about Aston Villa, far far more than he could ever do, and he's ruining us to the point of relegation. So, no, I don't care how much it hurts Lambert because it will never touch mine.
This.

Big time.

Gabby when waiting to come on as sub looked like he was 'pumped up' and I don't mean really enthusiastic. Once an opposition would worry when he was about to come on but now I don't think they give a toss. He's no goal threat at all now.
